I think Bumblebee could do what it did because it didn't have to lay the groundwork of world-building; the first live-action movie did that. It's still the one I enjoy the most as a complete film, but I do recognize that it's standing on the shoulders of the previous films.
Honestly, after the first few minutes of the first movie, the introduction of Blackout, I feel like it was mostly downhill from there. There were still moments here and there in all the films that I enjoyed, but until Bumblebee, I don't think I ever really liked the live action films as complete...
I have the tan Megatron Knockoff and the gunmetal Jetfire! I thought Galaxy Defender was a Walmart packaging of Happywell product, though, cause I would swear the Jetfire was a Galaxy Defender offering.

Has anyone found any more evidence of a Junkion combiner from these new guys? I know there was a pretty convincing leg mode from Scraphook, but wasn't one of the new bike dudes supposed to have a hidden feature, too?
I would be curious how they would reimagine Omega Prime without straying too far from the original? With Ultra Magnus kind of exploding and then folding around Optimus as armor, what would an alternate take do that didn't just retread what the original did (and, possibly, with a lower parts count)?

Posted this in the Legacy wave thread, but it would also fit here, a set based on the concept in the first live action movie of the Decepticons subverting authority/government entities. The core figures pair with the deluxes, not sure how that would work in a capsule line...
