The fact that Marvel did that and then proceeded to do jack all with Circuit Breaker in the intervening years sucks. There was literally a comic about robot Avengers (Avengers AI) that she would have made a fantastic villain for. Just replace GB Blackrock with Tony Stark and Shockwave with...

Typically if they appeared first in a licensed comic, they're owned by the licenser, so if Hasbro or whoever making their shows or comics wants to use them, they can. Remember Rung and Nautica have already gotten toys and Tarn is getting one next year. (After showing up in Cyberverse)

I just realized... is this the first major continuity that had zero stories involving Earth or humans? Even Beast Machines was tied to G1/BW where Earth was prominent.

    Beast Wars II/Neo availabilty?

So I've recently been on a kick of watching all of the Transformers shows I never got around to. I recently completed the Unicron Trilogy (I had seen Armada and a smidgeon of Energon before, but that was it) and rewatched Robots in Disguise 2001 for the first time since, uh, 2001. I've seen...

IDW1 had the benefit of being around for ages, like 13 years, frequently with multiple series running concurrent. I think I counted over 400 issues for IDW1, compared to like a fifth of that for IDW2. When you've put that many issues out, you're going likely have some real bangers (as well as...

Your right that the mentor system doesn't come up a bunch because new protoforms are exceedingly rare in this continuity. IIRC, we only see the flashbacks to Bumblebee/Cliffjumper, then Rubble and finally Gauge. Though we do have Starscream's mentor referenced in the Halloween special, as well...

I feel like you don't do Leo Breaker unless there's a Cybertron Prime you can attach him to.

G1 Cartoon Cosmos is an impossible design, I've just realized thanks to this figure. In robot mode, he needs to be wider, but in vehicle mode, his bridge needs to be smaller. Unless you really go crazy with the panel forming, something is going to suffer. Still he's way closer to the mark...

I know a lot of people didn't care for this series, but I really liked it. I love the new ideas it added to the canon, like the mentor system, or cybertron as a intergalactic cultural hub, or going immersant. It reminds of of how much the original IDW series did to flesh out Cybertronian...

    Transformers Collaborative series

I'd need to look, but I recall my G2 Devastator being pretty beat up. I know Hook's hook is broken and I think there is a wheel or two missing.

    Transformers Collaborative series

Combiner Wars Devastator is probably the worst Transformer per dollar I have ever purchased. (Prime Airachnid is the worst overall). Mine just has lots of loose joints so Devastator can't hold up his gun, and neither can several of the constructicons. And that all is ignoring how the...

Ah, so he did, though that was a redeco. I'm guessing he's getting a new mold here.

Can't believe Lio Convoy is getting a toy in the mainline. That's wild. Tarn, Shadow Striker and Crasher are must haves for me. I'm a core completionist now so Soundblaster and the Dinobots are also on my list (Not starting with Grimlock? Weird.) Hot Shot will depend on how he winds up...

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Cosmos and Override are must haves. Also "yet another Cosmos?" We haven't gotten a Cosmos since Titan Returns, and even then that was a reissue of the Thilling 30 toy. Unless I missed one. Scourge is a difficult choice. His deco bothers me and I have the original toy still.

I still have my G2 yellow Devastator, so Tonkanator is a hard pass for me.

(Possible) Transformers Collaborative Thread - Bandai and Takara Team-Up?

So the more expensive Maverick does not come with the volleyball accessories, as they are going to be the way to differentiate this from the original release. Lame.

Yes, that's why I said it would make Elita-1's different from Minerva's, rather than vice versa. It's Minerva's profile that Elita-1 needs to be modified from. Also I'm pretty sure I'm misusing the word profile, but whatever.

Someone pointed out that you can fold the shoulder pylons away, so so that's one way to make Elita-1's profile look different from Minerva's.

    Studio Series 86 Appreciation Thread

Core class toy of larger figures make for excellent desk toys, I've found. Even a toy the size of Origins bee can be too big for many spots, but those core class guys can go almost anywhere. Plus they're fun to pose with Titans. I'm probably going to cut back on larger figures now that I have...

Interesting place to draw the line, morally. You're so concerned with stolen prototypes that you advocate not supporting the person using, by your own statement "potentialy stolen" toys, yet you have zero problem advocating benefiting from that alleged theft by way of pictures taken by a third...
