I dropped every one of those figures into hot water and let them soften up a bit first, then very carefully exercised every joint because the reports of breakage due to frozen joints was alarming.
Even after doing this they're still really tight, but I feel better about carefully moving things.
The Siege jets, and even the Bumblebee Movie designs are far more "inspired by" than actual representations like this Jazz and Bee were.

I don't know if it was quite that rosy. They threw everything at the wall in 93-94 and sales had fallen off the cliff. It may have been cheesy, but they knew they needed to do something different.
It's interesting. My only experience with Metalhawk is in IDW so I wouldn't mind if this leaned more that way but I get that's not what they were going for here. I do hope part of the remold is addressing the mold-wear issues folks reported with later versions of Cyclonus.

I hated them in the theater too. If I had to choose between them or Devastator's balls... it's a tough call which was worse. At least the balls weren't racist stereotypes.

It sounds more like they axed it for some of the same reasons they did Animated and Classics (minus the wacky Avengers connection).
