Outside? Inside? No, thinking ABOUT the box: your thoughts on Transformers packaging

What's really cool in an uber-nerdy sense about Autorooper's packaging is what's on the inside of the box. The interiors of that set had something that the Convoy and Hot Rodimus sets did not have: Lore! More pics at the bottom of this gallery page and the top of this gallery page.

And that shininess got lot of fans angry at Hasbro for going with flat blue instead. Hasbro's Alternators Silverstreak had the same shiny silver that Takara's Binaltech Streak had, so it's kinda irksome that Hasbro didn't think to use the same shininess for Smokescreen. Additionally, one less...

This is why I'm actually a little glad that Archer is no longer employed by Hasbro, as now whenever he shows up at a convention, he no longer acts like he's signed a million NDAs and is instead freely willing to gab about his time with the brand and reveal all kinds of behind-the-scenes stuff...

I only asked because you singled out Cyclonus, who predated Universe in a little-known separate line of four toys while leaving out both fellow Expanded Universe boxed figure CatSCAN and all of the previous packaged BotCon exclusives who were sold under the Generation 2, Beast Wars, and Beast...

A few of the early Universe toys had splotchy streaks of red with silver at the center, which tended to also contrast with the rest of the figures' decos. These particular parts of the decos were specifically meant to represent areas of infection on the body by a "Unicron virus". The figures...

Wow, that's a pretty narrow window. :p Born out of one-half of the original premise for Armada's sequel that never was, Transformers: Super Cross (the other half of the premise gave us Energon instead). All courtesy of Brian Parrish's vivid imagination, inspired by work he had done on Star...

He also never actually ever wielded it in hand in the cartoon. He only ever used it to shoot torpedo missiles from his shark mouth in beast mode.

The first set was also different from this one in that it technically had four movies since the theatrical dub movie was a unique merged production of the other three in the set, which had both the original Japanese and a new uncut English redub, while Digimon: The Movie was English-only...

I just found something fascinating last night. These two videos by The Hyrule Journals that go deep into the behind-the-scenes development of Majora's Mask. The first is a full-length documentary about the Japanese-to-English localization of the game by Nintendo employee Jason Leung: The...
