I have to admit, I had 100% forgotten about that. Sounds like we're actually getting pretty close to some sort of reveal.

Broke down and bought one of these off ebay. It arrived last night and I absolutely love it. Quality isn't Hasbro-level, but was significantly better than I was expecting. I'll get some pictures and post more about it soon. I absolutely love this sort of "alternate universe G1" product.

I would like to have that Ramhorn, but I'm going to skip this set. I already have the last SS Perceptor, and Ratbat isn't enough of an improvement over the last one to make me care much about him either way. I'll just stick with my Titans Return Ramhorn for now and hope the cassette one gets...

Super excited about that Carnivac. I absolutely loved him as a kid. I can still remember buying him from KB Toys at the mall and just fondly gazing at him in the box the rest of the shopping trip. I did love the pretender shell, but I was especially fond of his inner figure's robotic wolf...

He's pretty clearly going to be recolored as another Junkion. Got a lot of random pipes and spikes like the stegosaur.

I'm 100% sold on the Junkiosaurus. Probably Megabull as well. Pretty hit and miss overall. I don't hate it, but it's clearly designed for younger kids. There's nothing at all wrong with that, the brand needs to reach out to younger kids, these just might not all be for me.

I had figured as much on the actual 80's prototype, but I would think that theoretical production colors may have skewed more towards the line art colors there of peach & pink instead of electric orange. That would be a nice "middle ground" between the prototype and the animation colors.

I'd be curious to see the "toy prototype" version in colors more like the version on the left in this pic:
