I got in an order! Now to see what NonNef or others come up with. I do admit I didn't bother with the DNA upgrade kit for Dinoking, as I honestly didn't think it added much for me, though many love their scythe weapons and alternate chest/head. If someone doesn't make some reasonably priced...
The only thing that worries me is the plastic being so thin in spots. I know full well it's not intended as a 'toy' in the usual sense but I also know from the various Wal-mart G1 reissues that that's exactly how my nephew would use it. Those G1 reissues have been pretty solid, but G1 with...
'Ellbat from now on in my head canon has a British accent when he's a shoulder cannon. No one knows how that's possible in Japanese but he does it anyway.
But it's the 'open front is a shoulder gun' thing that seriously did make me wonder if HasLab Liokaiser and AOTP Bruticus had ideas shared...
For Wheeljack, exploding could be a gimmick.
Still waiting for the team to snap and make the Power of Optimus Prime and the Primes, so we can search Ebay someday for Transformers POOPnTP or whatever the next absurd acronym is. Because we've had AOTP, POTP, clearly the whole team is stuck in...
BAH! *I* remember when internet translations were crap, and someone mis-interpreted the ladder length of Fire Convoy's Car Robots announcement for the Robot Mode height and we thought there would be a Fortress Maximus sized Optimus Prime! Or the multiple times we heard a G1 name used in Beast...
I was one of those who grabbed that Astrotrain when I could. I did it because my nephew is a huge train fan, and I got him the Galaxy Shuttle repaint when it deep-sale'd, I figured it would make sense to get him an Astrotrain that was not the same mold. I may Reprolabel it or leave it as-is...
Never underestimate how much of an impact that sort of thing can make. We tend to think 'we gave away a toy' but to a kid, it's something they'd never have been able to have otherwise. When I was young, someone at the DUMP, no joke, was throwing things away, and pulled out one of the small...
To be fair, the Armada Unicron mold isn't much different. Fold his arms up, flip back the head, then just roll him into a ball and fit the shell halves over part of his torso. Primus has more sliding/rotating bits but still not much difference. There are only so many ways to make a ball.
I haven't seen anything about it since the last reveal, and I'm not sure that wasn't an unintentional leak or not. I do hope it comes out, and also there might be some simple, reasonably priced shell set made by another party. Dinoking could get by with a couple of the Safari LTD armored dinos...
The box set is why I thought Core Class or the functional equivalent. Put it at a larger price point, by having them all at once, since Core itself isn't an option. And I for one loved Dinoking, its size gave it a lot more play value than a larger bot with the same number of parts. So I could...
Even then, the new photos just raise more questions. For Liokaiser, why is Deathcobra's pelvis on backwards in every shot? For Bruticus, what's going on with the gun color for Swindle's trailer/cannon? And on the subject of costs and changes I'm still confused as to why Onslaught couldn't get...
Given that the Multiforce members were small enough to be sold as Micromasters in Japan for their reissue, I'd be hesitant on Missing Link, simply because their track record with small joints has been spotty and we've seen how 'modern' Micromasters quickly became infamous for ball joint popping...
I'd love to see the Pretenders done fully featured...
Multiforce would be a serious lift in either HasLab or Retail, as if you did it 'full' version, you have six bots doing 'Energon Autobot' styles of combination, AND making a six-bot combiner. Weirdly this is where Core Class as a special...
The big question with the Overlord with Cheese is the argument that breaks out online between Unicron and Trypticon over how big a bite they could take out of him.
But for HasLab, the fact that you can't easily see any REVIEWS of the thing before it's in-hand is actually a big issue, and while...
