I'm building a new display case as part of a basement remodel. It's largely intended to finally have a good display space for Unicron, so it's pretty big - 4' wide and 2' deep. Unicron's going to dominate the upper half of it. For the lower half, I want to set up a display of my Decepticon army...
Still feels kinda weird not backing a TF HasLab, especially right when I'm finally setting up a place where I can properly display them. But he's just too big. There's no place I could add him to any part of my collection where he would fit in, and I have no interest in him as a standalone...
My favorite scenes:
G1 - The fight between Optimus and Megatron in Heavy Metal War.
TFTM - So many scenes. Such heroic nonsense. The Optimus/Megatron fight. The reformatting. The coronation. Unicron's transformation. Arise, Rodimus Prime.
BW - Megatron rising from the lava in his new dragon...
First look at two of the Amazon packs:
https://www.cbr.com/transformers-legacy-toys-hasbro/
Barrage and Chop Shop look great. Definitely more retooling than Ransack got. I really hope Venom turns out as well. An extra battle master is kinda neat.
Did we know about Prime Breakdown from...
I'm kinda surprised just how much I'm looking forward to the 13. I've never been in love with the concept, but I've liked it well enough. But seeing that they'll apparently all be coming within the next few years, I'm really looking forward to them.
I'm certainly not expecting it, but I'd...
According to the wiki, I got married right after Armada premiered. I was back home in Michigan for a few days, so I definitely wouldn't have been able to watch it live. There was no On Demand back then, so I'm curious now how I managed to watch it. Probably caught it on a rerun, I'm guessing...
Here's mine, by era:
G1 - The movie. I've largely moved away from the toys, the cartoon can be hard to watch much these days, and I never liked the comics. But the movie is still just pure joy. I'm always happy to see it on.
G2 - Megatron Attack!
Beast Era - Megatron in the BW show. He's what...
All good. :) And thanks for the pics. I'd remembered him being about the same size as SFC, and that looks pretty consistent. Just double checked the scale charts, and looks like he was intended to sit right between SFC and GFC. So a little bit oversized in that final battle, but not by much...
Please actually read what I say rather than just lumping me in with your pet peeves. I never said he was lazy, or never went into battle. He absolutely did stay in his command center often, but that's not what I was referring to. I said he rarely directly interacted with other bots, instead...
I certainly won't be surprised. And even without this Omega Prime, I'll be much more likely to get a nice, big Mega/Galva/Gigatron. He'll match up nicely with the original Omega.
I still lean toward thinking Commander would be a better spot for him than HasLab. Like Sabrblade pointed out, he's...
Not arguing otherwise. I know Megatron spent most of his time up on his dais with no one directly next to him, or flying up in the sky with no one nearby. And RiD relied heavily on stock attack animations followed by cuts to the target getting hit. But he did occasionally stand next to others...
I'd really like to see a lot more Commanders. My initial list:
Maybe other combiner bodies like Motormaster. I think Onslaught and Hot Spot could pull it off. Not as sure about the others.
Omega Supreme, assuming we eventually get a Devastator at the same size as other combiners.
Broadside...
So after a day to think about, I think I can articulate my thoughts a bit better. As a standalone piece, I think this new Omega Prime is great. He looks like he'll be a fantastic figure, and would be a great centerpiece.
My issue is, I don't want a centerpiece. I like to group my figures into...
I'm more on the disappointed side. I have the original, so I'm very aware of his shortcomings. This one looks better, and sounds like they've really focused on fixing all the issues that aren't immediately visible. And I do like the new Blue Bolts. So, nice update, and I'm sure he'll be a great...
My bet has been on Primus since we first heard tidbits about a 40th anniversary HasLab. Outside of maybe Optimus and Megatron, how many things better tie into all versions of Transformers than Cybertron itself? Makes perfect sense to bring a giant transforming Cybertron as a companion to HasLab...
I just got an e-mail from Pulse this morning saying my pre-order for Bombshell has been canceled. Coming so soon after having Nacelle get canceled, I'm more than a little irritated. I'm aware of the issues with Nacelle, so I can understand that one at least. I haven't seen anyone talking about...
I don't know that the situation's truly comparable. True, he was revealed during the brand's 35th anniversary. However, I don't recall him being advertised as an anniversary item, can't find any references to him in conjunction with the anniversary, and he wouldn't have made all that much sense...
True, but I think the expectation (or at least my expectation anyway) was for the next HasLab to be something released for the 40th anniversary, not something to be revealed during the anniversary to come out a year later. Launching a campaign next year works ok, but doing so means the...
