40th Anniversary Haslab: RID2001 Omega Prime

Given everything that goes into making a HasLab successful, the KO makers might fear increased legal repercussions from Hasbro if they ever try it. There's probably a limit to just how much they want to poke that particular bear.

    Transformers Legacy toyline

Agreed 100% about wanting a new Thunderwing. I don't know if I really want him THAT big, but certainly more substantial than the old Deluxe. Can't say I'd count him among the Primes any more than I would Ultra Magnus, though.

40th Anniversary Haslab: RID2001 Omega Prime

Yup, he's as ginormous as expected. Happy for all the people who are excited for him, but he definitely has no place in my collection. Would've loved to get Blue Bolts, but no interest at all in that Optimus. For only the second time I can think of, I can say I'd actually be interested in an...

    Transformers Legacy toyline

I'm tempted by Nova. Never had any real interest in him originally, but with a whole assortment of Primes incoming, I'm more inclined to give him a spot on the shelf. So we'll now have the 13, Nova, Sentinel, Optimus, and Rodimus. That's everyone who has toys from the G1 lineage of Primes, right?

Catilla was the only one of the four that I had. The other Pretenders I had were Octopunch and Monstructor. I didn't really love the concept back then, and found both the transforming bots to be kind of simplistic and boring and the shells to be both weird and not very fun. It just wasn't a very...

I will say, the fact that we've been getting the Decepticon Headmaster Jrs via those Target packs makes me hopeful for Snarler, Catilla, and Chainclaw. HasTak has worked some magic with retooling all those TR molds, and they've been peppering in a lot of pretty obscure characters through them. I...

If you really love Headmasters, I can see that point of view. But not everyone loves Headmasters. They fundamentally limit the sort of head shapes and sizes a bot can have, which is often one of their most uniquely defining traits, so it can be a huge turn-off aesthetically. And practically...

Transformers CyberWorld: Optimus STILL Hates Spiders

I'll probably end up getting Mega-Bull and Galvatron just for the sake of having a VERY different Megalvatron piring. Otherwise, not seeing a whole lot for me here yet. I'll definitely be watching the line as it continues, though.

Make Up a HasLab Stretch Tier!

I like that idea. I love that we're getting Death Cobra, but he does really ruin the look for Liokaiser when he's used as an arm. I like that he can be used as a shoulder cannon. A second helicopter could also be used as a second cannon, letting him still have that symmetry even with the extra...

So we now have SS86 versions of Rumble, Frenzy, and Ratbat that all have new tooling, albeit only an accessory for Ratbat rather than a new mold. Who wants to bet that once SS86 Soundwave is revealed, he'll likewise come with new-mold versions of Ravage and Laserbeak, with Buzzsaw once again...

    Takara Missing Link G1 Series

My next door neighbors' youngest kid when I was growing up was several years older than me, so I didn't interact with him all that much, but we did hang out on occasion. When I got Fort Max, I guess he wanted to one-up me or something. He insisted he knew about some other Transformer that was...

    Takara Missing Link G1 Series

That's the big thing for me. We know that the toys for the movie characters were developed early on and didn't fully match the final movie designs. However, none of them deviated as far as the Arcee prototype. Galvatron comes the closest, but that's more a case of using a different layout of the...

    HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

Virtually every era of TFs have had people complaining about how much worse the then-current line was than every line before it. Clearly, we peaked with Diaclone, and then Transformers came along and ruined everything forever. One minor caveat: you might want to be a little gentle handling...
