  1. Prey (Predator 5) - streaming on Hulu

What did you hate about the end? Ship harpoons vs planes doesn't seem any more "cheating" than dart gun from camo vs mini gun. At this point we have seen a decent selection of hunters in canon movies, and a range of what they consider "sporting".
  2. Prey (Predator 5) - streaming on Hulu

Killer of Killers came out today. All the segments are decent, but I'd rank them 1. Sword 2. Finale 3. Bullet 4. Shield
  3. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

I've taken a more generous view of Luthen killing him. Jungs primary concern was his families safety. Killing him was Luthens best chance at securing his family's safety. Bix knew Andors focus was split between her and the Rebellion. The arc before the one that has her leaving, focuses on...
  4. The Twit destroying Twitter is a Twaitor

Except it appears that article is inaccurate. They knew there would be severe weather so they were staffed overnight. https://www.cnn.com/2025/05/18/weather/nws-staffing-kentucky-storms
  5. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

Its 132 BBY that's not Dooku, and thats not Palpetine.
  6. New season of Love Death and Robots. (Season 4)

New season is out. I forgot how much I like watching short anthology sci-fi. As usual, some winners and some loser. Most of the comedy focused ones are pretty bad, the humor is just very primitive, and juvenile. Can't Stop: Just a fun music video more or less. Mini Kind: Nice and...
  7. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

The show really did suffer from Sol being about the only interesting and likeable character. Yord was ok some of the time, and fake Qimir was entertaining. The multiple points of view thing, had some potential, but was poorly executed imo, with the Jedi being overly villainized. Jedi pov...
  8. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

It really doesn't cause any issues. Imagine mapping it to earth months. 1BBY Dec 31st, the next day is 1 ABY January 1st. This system gives easy to read context to viewers. The 3rd §∆£ of |•€¥ is just sci-fi gobelty gook nonsense that means nothing to anyone outside hardcore turbo nerds. Silly...
  9. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

It's a balancing act. Given that Mons driver was a plant, and her office was bugged, it's likely they have evidence of her being a "terrorist". So they can justify her arrest and tie her to Ghorman. They may have or may not have this info for Bail, and Alderan may still be a more powerful piece...
  10. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

Because the Empire still has to keep the illusion of legitimacy at this point, that's a huge portion of this batch of episodes. Without the Deathstar in place they have to worry that the more they tighten their grasp, the more systems will slip through their fingers.
  11. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

Going slower means you have to be wary of spoilers, and can't engage in discussion until caught up. It being batched reduces its footprint in public consciousness, cuts down on theories and people guessing on what's going to happen. Also ruins the flow of real world "water cooler" talk.
  12. A Long Time Ago In a Galaxy Far, Far Away.... - Star Wars General Discussion

Honestly that's more rapid than I prefer, makes it kind of hard to keep up.
  13. What stupid thing did the GOP say or do this time? Episode 3!

"Republicans say there is a provision in the SAVE Act that directs states to develop a process for accepting supplemental documents such as a marriage certificate, which could establish the connection between a birth certificate and a government-issued ID. They argue the process is similar to...
  14. Prey (Predator 5) - streaming on Hulu

Yeah the dog fight stuff is what most caught my attention. I guess it's like Predator equivalent of whaling or something maybe, but definitely neat
  15. What stupid thing did the GOP say or do this time? Episode 3!

Also, they just suck. Japanese cars are pretty much superior across the board.
  16. Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

This is the most likely outcome imo. He will get "concessions" and "wins" as a variety of countries do things like take action on a nearly non existent fentynal trade. Trump will then crow about the "winning". It will be a mix of platetitudes and tangible wins.
  17. Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

Yeah that's major. I was rolling my eyes at "oh no one cup of water an hour", but one per day sounds illegally bad.
  18. Harris-Walz / Dems

In this thread: Let's avoid fascism by setting up a government that can control who is elected.
