Looking back at it, that was an absolutely insane set. These days the exclusives are usually either an exclusive character or even just a "special edition" upglow of an existing figure. That they made an 80's hair metal band including hair, soft-goods tassles/scarves/whatnot...

I kind of like that it combines parts of both along with the Macross stuff. Like it's not really trying to be either Optimus or Rodimus, just allowing itself to reference both designs and remixing them into something new.
