Website Animation World Network recently got to sit down with Christopher Batty, to talk about his innovative work on Transformers One’s stunning cinematography. You can check out the full and complete interview on their website here, or read some excerpts from it below.

That is awesome!
Allspark has basically been my one place for TF discussion on the net since I found it back in 2005. I might lurk elsewhere sometimes, but this is where i stay.
Here’s to maybe making it to another 25 years!
I Rise! You Fall!
I Fall! I Rise!
There’s B5 Sheridan line that’s perfect for this.
I thought you died?
I did. I’m feeling much better now.
EDIT: Also, chumbawumba Prime is a bit of merch I never knew existed. I mean I should have expected it. But I didn’t. Neat.
:::Scarlet held up up a hoof and continued to down the large bottle he held:::
GSO: Wait for it.
:;;Scarlet then grinned…and smacked Static in the face with the (now empty) bottle:::
Scarlet: Ok peanut. Let’s ****ing go!
Scarlet Jr: Ookay, here we go again. ‘Sigh’ time to take cover behind...
Now that really is the sign of a fan. Read a line of speculation? Hey, let’s have some with that! Yeah, Cyberverse was and is better than I give it credit for.
The Fallen flip-flopping between ‘evil dude’ and ‘tragic knight who falls into evil, then exiles himself’? I just prefer ‘always on...
Agreed on both counts. Hasbro problem with Prime is basically the same as DC/Marvel with superheroes. Death has no meaning. They can now (try to) shock kill him as many times as they like, but we know it won’t stick.
Both ROTF and Animateds pilot kill and resurrect him within the Same story. TF...
The fact that Prime now dies so often. I mean, at least once in every continuity. That it’s become a running joke, is both funny and kinda sad.
Though nothing will quite bit the Marvel G1 perfection of Prime doing in a computer game. Having his entire mind saved on a floppy disk. Get...
True. I agree what they did was an interesting idea. I guess I just felt like he turned up and died a bit too fast. For the show as a whole, I was they’d been able to flesh the past a lot more. Instead of little snippets and allusions to big events. You know, like Trion, Prime, Megs and Magnus...
I was pretty sure that design was used in the ultimate guidebook. But I don’t have the book to check . Where’s it from then?
EDIT: Transformers Vault? Huh. You know, i could’ve sworn it was in the ultimate guide too. But I guess I’ve muddled those two things up.
See, that’s kinda where I’m coming from fiction wise as well. Prime rising up from being ‘just a guy’ to become a great leader is good, because he’s not special. Other than being worthy of the Matrix.
But when Hasbro adds in the idea that he was once a demigod who gave up his power to...
Honestly, The Fallen, G2 inspired Maximo and Vector are the only major Thirteen I want. They’ll get me with Prima if they take some inspiration from his look from the TF Ultimate Guide book where he has the Matrix-hilted Star Saber (that sword design is awesome). Maybe Alpha Trion if the design...
See, now that I would love. Twin sword Vector og concept looked great. A hypothetical AotP Vector would be a great way to make Legacy VP a good Cybertron homage. However I wouldn’t be surprised if he is just an early AotP Prime.
The Star Convoy/PMOP hybrid is tilting my brain, because Star...
I am so glad we’re getting flaming demon The Fallen. And, like others, I hope the flames are finally an improvement over the current effect rubbery parts. Ah well, we can but hope. Otherwise, The Fallen looks beefy, Imposing and demonic. With a big gun and big sword. WFC Gamer Prime or fractured...
