As much as I actually do really like this Ultra Magnus, something about the proportions (big head, relatively short, stocky legs) and the hollow eyes give the robot mode an almost Ben Cooper Halloween Costume look.
That's a very clever bit of sculpting! I always love it when the designer finds ways to make bits that are necessary for the toy to work look like they actually belong on the "in-universe" character.
From R/Transformers on Reddit, we have our first look at Takara Tomy's stock images of Missing Link Ultra Magnus. This image not only shows off some of Magnus's newfound articulation, but also gives us our first look at the new Diaclone inspired Powered Buggy in robot mode.
UPDATE! More images...
Me as well. I don't hate or even really strongly dislike the concept of the 13, it's just not something I'm into. That said, the toys have been great, so I've bought most of them so far. Luckily, even if you don't care at all about the pantheon of demigods aspect of them, most of them have...
Yeah, I like any story better that has Optimus start out as just a regular guy and grow into something more. I don't care for stories where he was predestined to be the most specialist boy.
In fact, a good writer could do an interesting series where you have "comes from nothing and grows into...
Looks great even with two of the same arm. I do love the Devil Satan 6 color scheme, but it looks like the prices for it go pretty crazy compared to the standard Gobots version.
Now, what I REALLY need is a Fossilsaurus!
That's what I'm hoping for. I can't see myself getting Sideways since it doesn't seam like an improvement over the original that I already have, but I'd love to get the Mass Production Type colors.
That's pretty much how I got Puzzler. I bought a lot that had Tic Tac and a Crossword that the previous owner had hand painted silver for some reason, and had just those 2 for a while until I found a Pocket which inspired me to actively complete the set (including a correctly colored Crossword)
Yeah, dragon-to-robot transformation is underwhelming, but since he also can come apart and recombine with any number of other figures as either an upgraded version of himself or as armor for other robots, it doesn't really bother me at all. He does enough things OTHER than transform that a...
From Takara Tomy, and/or Amazon Japan, we have a full reveal of the evil Shadow Dragon (translation of the actual character name is still a work in progress). This new bot has multiple modes and methods of combining with previous figures. It can be:
1- A "Standard" robot
2- A "Standard"...
I've said this before, but I'll say it again. I know grey-chested Bombshell is cartoon-accurate, but I still find it to be a huge downgrade from the purple.
