So... anyone else seeing this on their Legacy Beachcombers? (The thread also mentions Sandstorm.) Something similar to the problem with blast effects being left touching painted plastic too long, or the older ROTF Bludgeon treads thing. Ymmv depending on climate and other conditions I guess...

Had that gut reaction too, a pretty pleasant push on a very specific nostalgia button. It'd be pretty interesting if the Thirteen got retooled into various Unicron cultists and heralds and whatnot...

I used to have those a lot more often. Usually in the vein of a G1 remake with modern whatever, back before those became commonplace. I remember one where I saw a remake of Slag, about Deluxe size, packaged in dino mode in a white/silver/black box with red accents that reminded me of the silver...

Does seem to be a Megatronus base. Makes it a somewhat comfortable pass, although it could look really good in color. I wonder if they'll eventually make a comic series Fallen in entirely black with a lot of glowy orange/yellow wash. Maybe that'll get me to buy the mold.

He's an Earthrise Hoist/Trailbreaker retool -- if the neck joint is the same, those should work at least. I don't have this (yet?) so I can't check. I am very tempted by the fact that he seems to have opaque plastic rather than clear. Plus some neat accessories.

I don't begrudge the Archer era its gimmicks. These were kind of the done thing, and they were part of what made the toylines work as well as they did. And part of me does sometimes miss a toy feeling like a "proper" toy. I didn't agree with a lot of the choices of gimmicks and also didn't mind...

Damn, HasLab just be making EVERYTHING these days.

This batch of designs would benefit from a redo as regular Deluxes. The gimmick would almost certainly have to go, but it's a lesser loss than most gutted gimmicks in remakes. (By this I mean the combining. I'd miss the Mini-Con partners.)

Thanks I feel even better now 😅 It makes sense that Liokaiser would just have the hip/leg bits. The torso is pretty well accounted for. But eh, even if he'd had one, I am very belatedly off that fence (if only because I recently got really tired of the old combiners -- which are still fun...

Also, gah. I'm terrified of what secondary market price is going to be on that Liokaiser. It's gorgeous, frame brouhaha and all, but I don't think I have enough kidneys. And it's not like the ones I have are in pristine condition either.
