I'm passing on Bruticus for now. I have the CW one and I don't NEED a new one, despite actually really liking it, especially the individual components.
That said, I would probably buy me a Ruination repaint. I don't have any particular love for R.I.D., but being a different set of characters...
I will fight you. I would say that the vast majority of the Classics molds were good to great (depending on what all you count as "Classics", the definition is pretty fluid).
From Hasbro's very own Nate Puswell's Instagram, we have our first official pictures of Age of the Primes Swindle. This Voyager class toy transforms from a Legally-Distinct-from-a-Jeep to a Those-Charges-Have-Not-Yet-Been-Proven wheeler-dealer of a Robot! Helping to fill out his Voyager box...
From Youtube, the reveal video of Robosen G1 Flagship Soundwave has ejected! Similar to the previous Robosen figures, Soundwave automatically converts from his tape deck mode to robot mode with voice-command speech recognition, preprogrammed movements, sound clips, lights, and all the bells and...
From the Front Page, full video reveal of Robosen Soundwave.
These things are way out of my spending-zone, but I have to admit that this thing looks great. The stationary alt-mode actually lends itself better to being a display piece than the previous releases that don't really hold their...
Yeah, proportions are still a bit off, but it feels less like "whoops, we made him too short" and more "this is a stocky, powerhouse sort of guy." But your stretched-out leg guys actually put it where I think it looks the most right.
I was wondering why the Ruination concept looked so much better than the Bruticus colors, and I think I figured it out. His knees being the same color as the "boot frames" makes your brain think of them as part of the feet, which makes his legs looks shorter than they really are. If his knees...
I've never had a figure of the Rook mold despite wanting one. I missed it during CW, and it's always been juuuuust a bit too expensive to justify on ebay ever since. One of these days I just need to bite the bullet and buy him.
Afterburner is probably my favorite Technobot, so I don't want to see him relegated to tiny-man status, but I do like that Ironclad and would be happy to have a "spare" Technobot!
I think part of Bruticus's problem is that the arm frames make his upper torso TOO wide compared to the rest of him. His legs are a bit stubby, but the super wide torso makes them look more so. If Blast Off and Vortex made up the full mass of his arms (maybe with hinges borrowed from...
Apparently this version of GT Scorcher is currently one of the main "characters" on a Hot Wheels cartoon? So it makes sense that they would use it for cross-promotional porpoises (you know, dolphins in the marketing department.)
And for the El Segundo, hopefully they use this scheme...
