I kinda feel this is why they did it. The Copper/Brown one is the real Onyx, while the Blue one will be "Comics Varient" Onyx

I think they mentioned wanting to do him in Blue later, so maybe save that release for Shockwave's toy page.

Doesn't change my opinion. Does mean we missed out on a Grimlock that turns into a T-rex with wheels ala Cyberverse Sky-byte by not voting him to have a vehicle mode.

I think my issue with it, is that it still looks too much like regular Shockwave. He barely looks like he'd turn into a Whale in robot mode, and Whale Mode, looks too much like "Law says he can't be a gun any more" half-assry.

Maybe its like the SW Prequels, everyone* hated them when they came out, but then when the newer stuff to hate came out, suddenly they became good films.

Is Ravage a remold of Steeljaw, or are they just sharing transformation ideas?

I hope that since this is designed to be a tape player first, and not remolded into one, that his weapons get to be batteries again.
