None of the ps2 FF games were one massive level. They were all quite segmented with load times between maps. Same goes with Dragon Warrior VIII(it was essentially the standard overworld/poi system used by RPG's since the early days of the Ultima franchise). I can't say on the Tomb Raider...
Besides it wasn't the lawyers who got him into that mess, it was his own big mouth. Offering a deal in an attempt to gain some attention and affect stock prices. The lawyers just got the courts to force him to go through with the deal he offered when he tried to back out at the last minute.
Isn't threads basically just Instagram without the focus on photos? Good luck, Musk. Seriously doubt Twitter had that much original tech in its design.
I wouldn't blame Musk for this one except that I seriously doubt THAT is why he's doing it. He's trying to get more people to subscribe to his paid service and the first step to doing that is to get people to at LEAST have a free-tier account. He's lost a TON of advertising revenue with the...
I'll reserve my judgment on the film until AFTER I've seen it, but given how Crystal Skull turned out, I'm in no hurry to see it. Granted, I didn't think Crystal Skull was absolutely horrible, it just didn't feel like an Indy film in a lot of ways.
The reactor at Chernobyl that melted down was intended to produce weapons-grade material for making more bombs. Any power generation from it was a convenient side effect.
Power-generation ONLY reactors are much safer, in general. I'm not sure what kind of reactors are at Zaporizhzhia, though.
To be fair, NONE of the SNES/Super Famicom designs were all that pleasing to the eye, but I will concede the original NA SNES was the ugliest of an ugly batch.
Button layout was the bigger issue, especially for certain genres. There's a reason why Nintendo went back to the diamond layout and why no one else adopted the GC layout.
Fewer write cycles, yes, but no mechanical parts to wear out. Modern SSDs have firmware to help spread writes out over multiple cells to increase lifespan, though. In MOST use cases, you're better off with an SSD than a mechanical drive these days.
Heck, wasn't it discovered that if it wasn't for the change in disk drives that the WiiU was perfectly capable of running GameCube software, only needing a few changes in the firmware to remap controls.
Looks like I missed the last part of your post, Viola, doh!
I'm pretty sure the SNES was...
Oh, the definitely do. Namco was absent for years on Nintendo hardware back in the 90's because of a grudge between the two companies. Haven't really heard of a rift between Activision and Sony, but given that Sony picked up a lot of Nintendo's bad habits after the success of the PS2, I...
Yea. Nintendo always makes at least ONE questionable decision with their hardware design and it is usually detrimental to the sales of the system. The third party issue goes way deeper than JUST the proprietary disks. There was also a decade-and-a-half of heavy handed restrictions Nintendo...
That's probably a good chunk of the reason. Some PS5 games make heavy use of asset streaming(heck pretty much all modern open world games absolutely RELY on it) and the low throughput of external media can sometimes cause issues with that. I was once playing GTA5 on a mechanical hdd while...
Well ~~datahazard~~ PROBABLY isn't a multibillionaire. Given the name, I'm gonna assume he's a late 90's script kiddie who never grew out of his wanna-be hacker status.
So, would you loose your right to vote if you give the kid up for adoption or abandon your family? Would you gain the right to vote if you adopt or become a stepparent? Do you still get to vote if your child dies or if they become an adult? So many questions....
Frankly, you don't have to be...
