    The Upgrade Kits Thread

So - Nonnef van feet kits - how's the quality, how difficult is the installation? I've been thinking about getting a DK-2 Guard to be my Ironhide, but I'd want those, too.

So glad it's not just me. I was trying to figure out why they looked like a boy band.

Wow. Metroplex was $35? Weird. I could've actually saved up that much. Possibly.

We live in a capitalist dystopia

Like I said, the law could use some work. They jump to legal consequences way too fast. Other options listed in the article can be effective - this year, a kid at my school was told that if he didn't get his butt to school consistently, they wouldn't sign off on his learner's permit for driver's...

We live in a capitalist dystopia

Ok. I know there are pros and cons and exceptions and - and - and - I teach band. There were students in some of my classes last year that I almost never saw. One kid came a couple days in a row, and I said something about it - something along the lines of "hey, if you're going to get...

Toys Armada Nemesis Prime with Air Defense Mini-Con Team revealed!

If this had a normal head and a lower price, it'd be tempting.

G.I. Joe thread - October 2025: Rawhides, Pacifists and Dudes in bug costumes.

It's cool that you got to just hang out and chat about that with your son. It's also tough being a kid who pays attention to continuity and catching all the mistakes when writers and animators don't have that same level of investment.

Marvel Cinematic Universe - General Thread

You'd think they could "rotate the crops," but they don't. Franchise movies seem like they get most of the attention. (so I guess we should ask when Oppenheimer 2 is coming out?) I wish that "passing the torch" worked - I really do like Anthony Mackie as Falcon and as Cap - but I went back and...

    2025 Celebrity Death Thread

I thought Chuck Mangione had already passed away. I saw him play live once at a jazz festival - pretty sure it was him, Arturo Sandoval, and a couple other guys. This was 25 or 26 years ago, so there's no way to dig up the info. That performance was cool to see, because we were there to see...

    Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

So I clicked the link - and I really think Rawstory is in the wrong on this one. That wasn't news, that was a "huh?" phone call that shouldn't have made it on the air, let alone into a click-bait article.

Walmart "Transformers Retro" line (G1-based redecos/retools)

The chromed G2 minibots do sound really cool. Retro card vs retro box - I got the retro Brainstorm whenever those were out and kept the box for display. I got a retro Bumblebee - the minibot w/ more paint and the newer head - and I have that tacked up to a wall. I skipped the retro Bumblebee...

    The Random Transformers Image Thread

Did not expect to find this - Looking up Alchemist Prime led to Beast Wars Uprising led to looking for pictures of Commandrons, because I had all four and we got them when I went to Expo 86 . . . which led to looking up pictures of Expo Ernie. And then I found this . . ...

Transformers: Age of the Primes toyline discussion ll Update: 2026 Product revealed - Combaticons, Beast Wars and more Primes

Walmarts around me are weird - stores across town or in neighboring cities have drastically different selections. All I remember seeing for the last month or so was Studio Series TF:One toys. (Oh - and Retro Gears. And maybe Devastation Optimus.) I've seen other lines up until that point, but...

Transformers: Age of the Primes toyline discussion ll Update: 2026 Product revealed - Combaticons, Beast Wars and more Primes

Found Alchemist Prime at Walmart this evening. Two on the pegs, I think Crasher and Vortex were there, too. Picked up one Alchemist and left the rest. (Probably won't get to free him from his plastic prison until my grandson goes to bed, though.)

Rumor/Leak on next Lego TF: Soundwave!

Brothers Brick and Brickset have the announcement up. Looks really cool, and turned out better than Bumblebee. $180ish, so I probably won't go for it until the price comes down. (Hopefully.) Also looks like 6 pieces could be swapped out to get Buzzsaw instead of Laserbeak.
