I think it's a pretty awesome deal for the price. Big all new Skystriker. A frankly ridiculous number of missiles, blast effects, customizable tailfins, cockpits and stickers. Ejector seats. Cloth parachutes. A big and really awesome fully articulated stand that I love. Two accessory ground...
The only one I Pre-Ordered was Kickback. Because as an army builder he might be hard to get. Otherwise wave 1 of a new line tend to be super easy to get for a long time and none of them are guys that are gonna break my heart to miss.
-ZacWilliam, I have good toys of Skids and Drag Strip even if...
The QR Code bios are the Packaging Gimmick, like the black-light codes, the puzzle map, and the peel cards in WFC.
The mix-and-match combinable Energon Weapons are the unifying Toyline Gimmick.
And The Multiversal Portal(s?) is what is passing for the Toyline Concept.
-ZacWilliam, they're a...
The Stunticons may be the least interesting of the combiner teams to me.
The Combaticons might be a bit over-done but they've got great variety and personalities. The Aerialbots have always been my favorite since I was a kid and because I love the individual characters and the cool jets...
I did see that. Actually pointed them out to my brother before the presenters mentioned them. I am remaining cautiously optimistic until I can see what they end up linking to.
My brother scanned my phone when it was up on the screen and right now they just take you to a generic evergreen page...
I like Kickback, provided he doesn't look too tall next to other guys. Insecticons should be fairly small. But he gave me some nostalgia.
Dragstrip looks Decent. Good. I think I need to see more Stunts and Menasor to see if I need him.
Arcee looks good. Not so great I absolutely must own her...
Someone suggested Bulkhead be used to make this:
and I have to admit that'd be awesome.
-ZacWilliam, like the concept art toys they've done in MotU and Star Wars.
It's his favorite Value Meal number and he's trying to get everyone to order it.
-ZacWilliam, a joke that only makes sense if you know a tiny bit of Japanese.
It just occurred to me that with some remolding this Bulkhead looks like it would make a great RBs Heatwave.
ZacWilliam, there's a Generations Selects figure I would LOVE.
I believe it was going around from the leakers of TFW for months now that he would share a bunch of his mold with the Non-G1 Optimus listed.
-ZacWilliam, from there there are a ton of obvious but kinda boring possibilities
It says it is "Inspired by Prime Bulkhead" and with a "Deco" based on Prime Bulkhead.
Both of those are true.
-ZacWilliam, it's just a Generations-ized version. I already got good toys of his Prime and Animated designs that they are not gonna top at modern budgets.A new take is a better idea.
You were not told you were getting that by Hasbro.
Hasbro announced nothing and promised you nothing.
If a leaker made you think you'd get a Prime-style Bulkhead and instead Hasbro was always making a G1-reimagined Bulkhead that's not their fault or the toys.
-ZacWilliam, it just seems...
Honestly it looks like a really fine G1 style toy to me.
The only flaw I can see in this figure is if you wanted something that looked like big round Prime Bulkhead.
-ZacWilliam, This clearly wasn't tryin to do that at all. But it looks like it does a good job of what it's trying to do imo.
I want them to give Bulhead new legs and make the mold some kinda delivery Truck character.
-Zacwilliam, I really wanted to ask for a School Bus remold but I think it would probably take too much.
It's a G1'd up Bulkhead.
I didn't ever think they were gonna be able to make a better toy with today's budgets than he had in Prime so I'm cool with them taking an entirely different approach. I might like that to go on my G1 shelf.
Skids looks good. Exactly as expected but that's fine.
Is it...
I'm really curious about the over/under on how many Legacy toys leak in the next 3 days. I hope none, but historically the odds aren't great...
-ZacWilliam, heck there's a 50/50 chance Hasbro reveals them before the "Con" reveal themselves through some weird non-TF Website press release exclusive.
