I mean, Nintendo was just an example. I linked a whole list of companies that had switched industries there. And to hear about how the action figure market is shrinking because of iPhones and video games and such, well... I'm not saying it's inevitable, but I'm not saying it's impossible, either.

Not that I disagree, but it might help that in Disney's case, they literally own a comic book company -- and the very same one that established the Transformers and GI Joe narratives back in the day, at that. Nintendo started as a playing card company. Companies change industries often enough...
