This is interesting. I still have these guys since there's no better Liokaiser and the individual robots are great, but the combined mode is wobbly as heck. Worth a shot since the new parts kit is only $15
Thor as a character was handled poorly. He spent two solo movies and the Avengers movies hitting things, got a third solo movie where he finally seemed like he was getting somewhere, then got all of the development erased and turned into a fat joke.
The first one was okay but the sequel was a mess of the first movie’s excesses.
Winter Soldier is a legit good Bourne-esque espionage/thriller with the only real link to the rest of the capeshit being the Winter Soldier’s identity and it’s all the better for it
I get why Evil Ryu exists from a lore standpoint but having him as a separate character when Akuma is present seems like a mistake.

Nah, it was pretty clear. My point was that somehow, the bland, color-by-numbers, mass-produced movies are somehow among the cream of the crop in current-day hollywood.
I tend to buy compilations of particular storylines since there's just so much dreck but I read some plot synopses every once in a while or look up particularly outlandish Marvel Legends/DC Multiverse releases I see for sale. End up pointing and laughing mostly.
Maximum Carnage gets a bad rap but it's just brain-dead stupid, the sort of stupid that 5-year olds mashing action figures against each other would do. In contrast, somebody planned out everything about Cable's origin story specifically and meticulously and somehow still thought it was worth...
