I can understand why Gundam fans do it though. Gundam kits can have really thin, like eggshell thick plastic which can give a bad effect when placed with the light-up accessories or the brightly-lit displays higher end models tend to be put with. Furthermore, all gundams have to do is move their...
So Goji wasn’t actually shipped and the seller was leading me on. Should have been suspicious from the beginning when he listed the translucent spines version then offered to ship the opaque spines version. I didn’t mind too much and the prices were the same so I went along with it since supply...
That's a given but with how oddly chunky and flattened her legs and torso are, it makes me think the mold was designed to accommodate a bulkier character. I don't think it's in service of the vehicle mode looking at how past Windblade toys have gone.
Aside from Windblade, the Cyberverse universe characters so far seem to have been redecos/retools of toys from other universes. Even Windblade has something about her that gives me vibes that she’s a retool of someone else.
They should make a Bumblebee with the body of a Camaro but the hood of the Beetle lol
Somebody get Gordon Ramsay because they shouldn’t have let the designer cook.
It’s also close enough to double as a more detailed Animated series Batmobile, another fan-favorite. Just make the hood turbine a removable weapon or something.
I know a "Friday afternoon with 5 minutes to clocking out" job when I see one. It's just sad.
Also, Siege Megs has a pretty evil-looking mug. Idea was doomed from the moment they chose the mold.
I still can't believe they tried to retool Siege Megatron into an approximation of a jet. You do realize you made a new Shattered Glass universe and can make Megatron look like anything, right?
It's the first non-robot toy I've bought in years.
Edit: scratch that, I bought some Power Rangers a couple years ago, though they can be argued to be robot-adjacent
The front is relatively tall and chunky in a way that doesn't say sportscar. Those usually have long hoods and a low profile while this mold's hood is high and short in length when compared to its total height which evokes something like a family sedan's proportions. Not to mention that strange...
This is the sort of thing Generations especially around the Prime wars era did which was okay back then but with these toys costing as much as they currently do, not nearly good enough.
Wouldn’t mind a TFCC Sideburn repaint of Studio Series Hot Rod. It still doesn’t look anything like Sideburn but his colors are way too nice for them to be stuck on the Legacy mold
Man, we knew Sideburn’s car mode wasn’t going to be any good from Shadow Striker but actually seeing it somehow makes it worse. It’s shaped closer to a shoe than a sportscar and they couldn’t even bother to give it better a flame pattern. The great colors are wasted on it.
