The Classic/ER seeker is fine, if you want a modern take on the G1 toy with no parts forming. But that design (if we want to count Classics) will be 20 years old next year and it doesn't really how the Seekers look in most media. It kinda is time for an actual new G1 Seeker mold.
I feel like we're just seeing the first wave or so of 2026 atm. This is why Onsluaght is just a render and why Swindle is missing. I think this is all stuff we're gonna see in the next 6-8 months.
TBF there's a few things we know of that they didn't announce, like AOTP Swindle. We know that he isn't cancelled; so we might just be seeing like 1st quarter 26 stuff.
I kinda get it. The current seeker mold is just an upscale of the old CHUG one. This sounds like they wanted to do like Prime and Magnus and some of the others and try to make another mini-masterpiece. From a purely design standpoint, I can understand why they would want a more modern looking...
this feels like the least interesting way to do this. with Turtles and Thundercats we got the properties actually interacting, while here its just them cosplaying as transformers.
Since Daredevil is now offically part of the MCU, we should count David Tennant as Purple Man from Jessica Jones as at the very least, a well done Villian even as a one off for the series.
Having the TR version, which is much more accurate to the original toy, I'm fine with this one not having the tank mode; just because it was very half-assed on the previous SS86 one and I don't think he ever used it in the cartoon.
And now comparison with the old version:
The only think I kinda don't like is the loss of his clear plastic. Otherwise, I love his richer colors and the new panel to his his head. which also just fills in the gap on his back.
I agree that the mangled face helps give the mold a bit of its own identity beyond just "black repaint". I wouldn't have minded if they took a lil bit of creative liberty and made the face a slightly different color from the helmet tho
