I want to know who's the hero who decided to make G5 unicorn society incomprehensible, because I love it. In G1 they were the muscle. In G4 they were nerds. In G5 they're doing their best.
I have watched the movie more times than I can count, so I remember. One thing you have to love about MLP is it is really not picky about what animals are allowed to be cute. Armadillos aren't a conventional choice, but here they're given the same chance as everything else.
What a good movie...
When Alphabittle is watching the big dance for some reason a background pony wanders into frame and happens to totally block his view of Misty.
This show is operating at levels beyond our imagination.
I'll never know what they were thinking there.
On the other hand, Prime looks okay to me. It does a much better job of sticking to an aesthetic. That's all I'm asking for here. Just pick a thing and do it well.
This is why I must never be allowed to write cartoons. I like 'forgot something' endings better than 'everypony laughs' endings, though I'll say G5 really doesn't do the latter much. That's something I've been enjoying.
I do agree it wouldn't have worked here. Part of my thinking there was that...
This episode wasn't as good as the first few seconds had me hoping, but somehow it kept me going. I guess it was just a breath of fresh air... no definitely wrong metaphor here. I guess it was just a change of pace I really needed. After three whole episodes on a surprise I didn't love, I was...
For a twist I didn't like, I can't complain about the effort they put into trying to make it work. I feel like it shrinks the world, and that's what I don't like. If I could ignore that and just focus on the characters, scene by scene, I think I would have a hard time putting together any...
I didn't watch that video because I was warned about a significant spoiler, so I got to watch the episode blind. I still saw it coming. For someone who didn't know, the episode still made it very obvious. And I'm not a huge fan of this "surprise", so it took me out of the episode a bit. And...
I did take some more notes I was planning to post later, but a thunderstorm knocked out the power and ate them. I don't think I lost that much though, because my interest did peter out at some point.
I do think this episode started out strong. I liked the flashbacks. I was not prepared for that...
I would have just left it a mystery for now. It could have been a subject of conversation between Misty and Opaline, who otherwise don't interact much anymore. There were two halves to the mystery here: Misty somehow getting separated from whoever, and Opaline adopting her in whatever...
