I hate to imagine them locking Powermaster Prime behind HasLab, but it's disturbingly believable. Someone at Hasbro clearly has no faith in that design as a retail toy.

I expect this to be a special case, due to the unusual complexity of RID01 Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus. None of the Unicron Trilogy designs are as complicated. Movie designs are more complicated, but they're mainstream enough to skip the crowdfunding step and get Masterpiece toys.

I don't know if this is the best example, considering stores managed to sell 3 of these before they went on clearance.
