Game engine developers must be scratching their heads these days. They worked so hard to make sure even the lowest settings won't produce graphics like that, and then we work just as hard trying to force the graphics to look like that.
That makes a lot of sense. It's recommended that people who want to try lucid dreaming should get in the habit of doing reality checks, but your brain is already doing that intuitively. Any missing detail gets flagged immediately.
This is so fascinating.
I am totally interested in those translators' notes. The nuances can be fascinating. But within the subs, I want to see something that works well enough. English has a lot of words. Pick something.
I guess it feels like watching something vs studying it. If there's more to it than what I'm...
Reading doesn't bother me. It doesn't feel like I'm putting in any extra effort.
But don't make me pause to read a paragraph explaining the words you chose not to translate because their meaning is just too darned special to convey in English.
FreeDOS is great and I love it, but I have had a few programs fail to work because they look for files the FreeDOS developers renamed for no reason except to feel special, because FOSS developers are cursed that way.
So I'm trying a weird fork of DR-DOS instead. I already miss some of the...
Yup. If we want a toy version, we have to buy both, and have a leftover anime cab. Now imagine the guy who wants toy and anime trailers. That guy has to buy three versions, and still ends up with a leftover cab.
I wouldn't buy this if I were a billionaire. Hug Takara for doing it this way.
Part of me thinks it's too good to be true. I'm not going to see this insane shared alt mode concept finally produced. It'll be some Hero Mashers thing.
But I can't get past the conspicuous pairings of characters that could share an alt mode. There's no way they were dividing characters among a...
It just doesn't register with me at all. I know it's dated. I see the low res textures and primitive lighting. But I also see the top notch facial animations and constant expressive body language, and it's so natural that it lulls my brain into accepting what I'm seeing. It's hypnotic.
The animation gets a little better. But more importantly, you get used to it. The mouth animations are still better than the vast majority of 3D cartoons ever made.
If it was a salvaged MYM script (or at least a treatment) it explains why the pacing starts bouncing around so much. MYM's crowd budget only allowed Izzy to meet one pony in each location.
