Mine didn't require a signature but funnily enough, the HISS Tank that was just delivered yesterday did.

Tidal Wave does look really nice. As much as I like him, I wasn't originally going to get the Titan release. But they have packed so much good stuff into it that I can't pass it up. Oh, and I am a little miffed that he has a much better base mode than TR Fort Max. Didn't see a Tidal Wave...

I forgot to mention that I did not have to sign for mine. It was chillin' on my front porch.

Mine just arrived! I'm in Green Cove Springs, Florida, incidentally. Weird, too, as I just received the "Your order has left the building!" email today.

    Studio Series discussion

Yes, not overcomplicating the engineering or transformation is kind of what I meant when I said, "...easily digestible." I would expect this version to be much more enjoyable than the MP, overall. I realize too, that the MP scratches a completely different itch for some collectors who might...

    Studio Series discussion

^This is what I'm thinking. They'll distill the main highlights of MP-44 into a more easily digestible (and crucially, far, far less expensive) version of Optimus at the Commander pricepoint.

Those are okayish prices; certainly better than spending $34 - $35 each.

Not to mention all of the accessories / accoutrement that he's packed with (weapons, stand, throne, lil' dudes, etc.).

I don't know what that is either, but I would pay $9.99 for a modern Battle Beast, were such a thing to exist.

No email for Deathsaurus yet, but I did get one for the G.I. Joe Hiss Tank!

Haywire, you just reminded me that I should have listed Gobots Turbo as one of my "5 Most Wanted Gen Deluxe Characters" in that thread.

That's pretty much how I feel. G1 will always be my true north, but I have embraced - and found lots to like - about most of the subsequent series.

Your 5 Most-Wanted Gen Deluxe Characters

It's hard to perfect perfection :) . In all seriousness though, I would be curious to see what the current team would do with the jet and car Vehicon.

Yeah, the RID 2001 / Car Robots car bros. would be very welcome.

    Studio Series 86 Appreciation Thread

I like Rodimus' design and overall, the Commander figure hits all of the right notes. But I am in agreement with the criticisms leveled at the vehicle mode. I understand that some compromises must be made even at this pricepoint, but I just don't see a reason why the vehicle mode should have...

Your 5 Most-Wanted Gen Deluxe Characters

Hmm...let's see. In no particular order: 1). G1 Windcharger 2). Cybertron Sideways (Galaxy Force Noisemaze) 3). Beast Machines Thrust 4). Beast Wars Quickstrike 5). G1 Omnibot Overdrive I specifically left this one off, because it seems like he might be forthcoming: G1 earth mode Hound, for...

    Transformers Legacy toyline

I love to use the feature as well. However, I have painted myself into a corner with it a few times. I don't know if wonko the sane? is in this position, but there have been occasions where I've been waiting on all but one item to arrive, and things in my PoL were needing to be shipped within...

    Studio Series 86 Appreciation Thread

Not a bad choice, what with the 40th coming up and all. I love Earthrise Prime, but my hope at the Commander pricepoint would be that the trailer would be better-proportioned, include Roller, Matrix, gas nozzle, missles, etc. Beyond that, and seeing how it is a movie toy, I would expect maybe...

Post Pictures of your Transformers, Let's see firetrucks fighting with sharks!

The only thing that really bothers me about the SS86 van is the "nubs" on the top. I get that they are there for Ratchet's ambulance lights, but they look bizarre on Ironhide. Beyond that, I think that the SS86 version does a good job of doing what it is supposed to do. And no feet dangling...
