    The Repaint Concept Thread

That toy's name is actually "Black Rodimus". The name "Dark Hot Rod" came from the Japanese PS2 G1 video game that only, like, a dozen people ever played (and even less actually enjoyed).

    Takara Missing Link G1 Series

It had to have been a prototype since there was no final toy made. But, the colors were evidently based on the leftmost character model seen below:

Sadly, prices rise for things like this as the years go by (we're almost five years later from its original release). Though, he is kinda worth it. He's really good. Like, really good.

Super Megatron is still in stock at Action Robo. I've bought from them in the past multiple times without any issue. Also still in stock at Robo Toy Base.

So far, only Optimus has received a show colors version. Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, and Sunstreaker have only gotten toy color versions.

    Takara Missing Link G1 Series

Is that a new photo from a more recent event, or is it an old photo from the same event that originally announced Sunstreaker? Because there was a mock-up of Arcee on display at that previous event, where it was said that the mock-up was just a proposal meant to gauge interest in her, rather...
