I still want toy colors, but this looks pretty good; maybe toyhax stuff can help add some more visual interest. Held out on the mold to get it as Galvatron (and am also hoping for a Cryotek from TM2 Meg's) and I'll be glad to get it.
Regrettably, I'll have to pass on Tidal Wave, but I'm glad...
Man, I'd love a fresh take on the Alternators designs in the main line. A new GT that locks together better, a non-frustrating Mustang (use it as Wheeljack first, want to see those colors). A pickup truck, maybe sharing engineering with Hoist/Trailbreaker. The Tracks design. Even just use like...
Gigawatt is automatically on that list.
But I remember the Alternators Ford GT very fondly. I wish the robot mode locked together better, but what a gorgeous car and a cool robot mode. Especially in Rodimus red, and it managed to get two takes on that color scheme too.
I suppose it's a good thing this happened to the Seeker mold that may be among the most easily disassembled. There are parts with rivets and such, but most of this seems like it'd be easy to break down cleanly and dip into a small tub of warm soapy water if need be.
The yellow is greener than I remember? But that teal is gorgeous.
Would love to see this done, especially if they use the ponytail head from the show.
Man, this altmode is still just so goofy.
Yeah, it'll always be a concern if we're sticking to that. He's about the size of a person, but compacts down into a boom box. For all the effort put in to avoid mass shifting in that movie, he kind of skirts it.
Maybe they'll just retool Freezer and pack in a non converting boom box accessory...
It'd be neat f it's a boombox that can also split/lay flat/whatever to have a side that's a faux front grille or bumper for Barricade's altmode.
Maybe just go all out and release a new Barricade that can house this Frenzy at the Voyager price point, basically the first Movie toy with with more...
Recently managed to get the Warrior version of Thrash, and it's excellent. Not up to date on the line so I had to Google whether there was a Deluxe coming, and decided the better articulation didn't outweigh the color scheme and sidecar. Pretty neat transformation; with this and ROTB and Legacy...
Yes, one or two... Dozen, lol. All would be welcome. (I must be Hasbro, because I keep forgetting about red Mirage.)
Come to think of it, I'd also love a yellow Tracks! Maybe they can also tweak the mold so the legs aren't so iffy.
However else the brand grows and moves in the next several years, I hope we never lose this great behind the scenes talk with these people who clearly love what they do.
I've been thinking along these lines but trying to manage expectations as well by figuring there'll be a theme for the set. My guess is it'll be these characters rather than new-character redecos in a unified deco theme; could be all-animation deco (like the other 86 movie releases in...
Seeing some pretty neat 3d printed things that give him a better wing pack and comic-style hood-half boots, but it'd be nice if there were a proper 3p kit that did all that.
At least you've got that going for Volcanicus, haha. I got everyone but Grimlock because he had too many little flaws accumulating in each mode, and never really wanted a Dinobot combiner anyway. But I did get the others because I've always liked Slag and (of course) Snarl. I actually managed to...
Funny enough, the ROTF ones were among the first few Transformers I had where after going back and forth from alt to robot to alt a few times I was just... I never want to do this again, and immediately put them up for sale. I think since then this has only happened with the original WFC game...
I seem to recall a livestream where they said the Buzzworthy stuff (Kup and Cliffjumper at the time) was at least in part an experiment in using opaque plastic rather than clear, to see how it would be received.
I think the need for different molds isn't for clear vs opaque plastic, but for...
I hope they make it a smaller pack at least. Three Deluxes will do, five is a big ask that's practically ensuring it languishes on shelves.
DOTM Bee and Dino/Sideswipe vs Hatchet would be interesting (hard to picture demand for the early-wave Dreads). Or even a Voyager/Deluxe 2-pack of...
I was never a guy who "needed" Leader class Dinobots. The pre-WFC Voyager size was fine, gets the idea of power and mass across, doesn't take up too much space, better price.
But I am very impressed with the Studio Series 86 dinos. The WFC onward internal line scale makes them seem enjoyably...
I'm absolutely sure this has been done better before, but this is mostly to note that I found an unexpectedly good deal on an X-9 late last year (just missing one barrel and the tail).
