Oh, well that's for sure. I don't really compare or even count Core class with the rest, except stuff like Rattrap and Tasmania Kid and the cassettes. Core Volcanicus was a perfect fit for the 5mm peg combination, and indeed if that were on anything bigger it'd have to be enough pegged...
Hm. I don't really see the Weaponizers et al as combiners in the same way, although certainly they can and do combine. I guess they'd be the best bet at the "mixing things up".
I do sometimes wish they'd make more Combiner Wars/POTP style combiner limbs and torsos, if only for more molds to use...
I like Kingdom Galvatron well enough but there were a few things about it that I'd like to see executed better. To be honest, though, it's still an odd choice. Maybe they'll just redeco it in a bluer shade of violet, idk.
I'm glad to see this Cheetor, and I hope a Deluxe similar to the Titanium look is eventually made. It's cool that we're getting into Beast Machines stuff; give me a good BM Silverbolt to follow the Fuzor!
I'm sure at least part of it will (need to) be unique, but I agree that it'd be neat for at least the limbs to connect to the unique torso setup via famiiar joints.
I guess this being 86 also gives us a shot at a Mixmaster that doesn't arbitrarily change up the design. I hope Long Haul is still...
I'm cautiously curious about it, and apprehensive about the possibility of having to choose between the existing one and a new one. But I'm a little excited about it given the flexibility they have with this approach and what they've managed in the last few years.
I would love a Stinger redeco/retool, which this seems likely to be based on that TFWiki entry. Cool design and a mold that hasn't been used to death.
I'm generally up for more of the KSI designs from AOE. And now that we're getting into more offscreen/concept designs (we did have that DOTM...
I really enjoyed this phase of the line, with the filler redecos/retools. The Destructicons, Urban Camo Ruination, Sideways vs. Axer, the Hero 3-pack.
I remember the heartbreak of Fort/Brave Max not pushing through.
Obvious retool.
But really, it's been a very interesting time after that lengthy era of much more drastic (or really, any actual) departures from what was being revisited or remade. For better or for worse.
And I suppose even within the same line, where the Animated designs still went through...
Idk about the right mixture of tangerines, because the more I see of this the less distinct each shade of orange is from the other/s. I miss the larger contrast between the redder shade and the yellower one. Other than that and the plank feet, this looks amazing. It's also great to see Mark...
