The feel like the reason the central conflict of G1 was forgotten is because it felt, to me, to be inspired by the multiple energy crisis(es) in 1970's US. The OPEC embargo stemming from the US supplying arms to Israel during the Israeli/Arab war in the early 70's caused the first one and then...
I didn't care for the Legacy Bulkhead mold when I first saw it given how badly it fell short of evoking Prime Bulkhead, but I really liked the Wrecker cameo paintjob so picked a copy up and while it is still a poor interpretation of Prime Bulkhead, it's a pretty swell figure on it's own.
GUOP seems fine in a "This is hte only way we'll get a version of this character anytime soon." way. Like if I missed Cybertron, and wanted a version of that character on my shelf, it'd be fine for that.
But these days when we're getting stuff like Armada Op, he just feels like a missed...
I think the Nova Prime toy is pretty neat in robot mode (I have no strong affinity for Cybertron Prime so it doesn't bother me that they look similar)
I now understand why people don't like this mold for Ultra Magnus, though.
Technically Nova Prime was originally Prime Nova in the Marvel comic, though I don't recall him getting a visual apperance, just a namedrop.
IDW definitely fleshed the character and created the design we know to this day.
This is a Transformers board; we talk non-stop, all day every day, about stuff we don't HAVE to buy. It's the entire point of this place. Not a single person here NEEDS to buy a Transformer. Yet nobody is suggesting we curtail complaints about Transformers based on that fact, so I'm genuinely...
I prefer my customer agency to provide for things like not having to spend money on stuff I'm not going to use and not, you know, after the fact justification for selling bloated sticker sets. "You don't have to use all of them" isn't really a solution when it's not USING them I have a problem...
There's no hard and fast rule on the mainline vs studio series.
We got G1 Arcee in Earthrise back in 2020, and she got an updated figure in Studio Series' 2022 lineup. Ultra Magnus got figures in Siege (2019), Kingdom (2021) and Studio Series (2023). Ironhide/Ratchet both got figures in...
Windblade is sold out on pulse already. I'm shocked given the seemingly widespread dislike of the character. Either it was just a vocal minority, or the break they took from her helped her popularity.
Happy to see it, other than it's going to make it harder for me to get ahold of her. :P
The three biggest Omega's
Omega Supreme: Already a titan, but the Animated and Energon Versions aren't
Omega Lock: To come with Primus
Omega Prime: The said no Optimus in Haslab, but plans can change.
Or they just used "Omega" to mean "big" or "important" and it has nothing to actually do...
Commander/Titan don't get revealed until next year, that's been the case for ages now. They dud gave us the biggest hints we've ever had before, though.
The Haslab thing is kind of weird, I'll agree, but maybe they want to let the Giant Man one finish first.
They usually leapfrog Studio Series and the other Generations line. We got studio series last fan friday, so it's Legacy this time. Next time will be Studio Series again, likely.
Cores: Energon Megatron and Tasmanian Kid look good; Iwas going to skip the BW2 characters, but then there was that Magmatron tease, dammit. The rocks are interesting but I need to cut back so they're on the chopping block.
Deluxes: Chase looks surprisingly good, the rock car looks like a...
