I've never owned the original so I don't know how cooperative the joints are, but the arms should be able to squish together in microscope mode. G1 joints scare me. They're so creaky and squeaky.

That must have been it. I tried a normal Seeker first, but it's too easy for a purple Seeker to end up looking like all the other purple Seekers.
