Tidal Wave is.... a mixed bag?
It looks amazing honestly but a big part of my nostalgia for Tidal Wave is him becoming weapons and armour for Megatron. I don't know if these smaller pieces will hit that same spot for me.
As for Wheeljack... this feels like it should have happened in Siege 😛...
And like Animated I like it for the most part save the art style. It's not as egregious as Animated in my mind, but it's the faces, man. Earthspark's robot faces are just WEIRD
I get the issue with a lack of fiction to a degree but at the same time... Kingdom was a test run for what I wanted them to do, and Legacy fulfilled the promise- a toyline that mixes Earth-based vehicles, scifi concepts, and beastformers into one line. It's Cybertron if Cybertron leaned a bit...
It's more necessity than anything. While yes, there are movie designs that SS hasn't touched, those are few and far between. At least when it comes to marketable characters. The marketable movie characters have all had SS releases. Sometimes multiple times.

Same. He's perfect to my eye. Maybe his legs are A BIT long but it's a very minor quibble.
I'm sure the Commander price point will let them do all kinds of nifty things, but SS86 makes me think it'll lean heavy into the Sunbow accuracy which is no buys from
me.
I don't really go for the 3p scene these days, but Hegemon will likely always have a place in my collection. I'm just a sucker for gun mode Megatron.
