Y'all think Unicron might show up in this flick? 'cause I'm getting a sneaking suspicion that Unicron is going to show up in this flick.
I thought this was all officially reboot territory now.
Like, correct me if I'm wrong, but Bumblebee was initially shot as a prequel (hence the appearance...
I live in a town of 30,000 people.
Once upon a time we had a KB toys, a Fred Meyer (i.e. Kroger) and a K-Mart as places you could get mainstream stoys like transformers (there was a bookstore that sold "educational" toys, basically Lego and building blocks). K-Mart obviously died and was...
Didn't they stick Ironhide into Ratchet at one point in the toon? Not to mention Cosmos flying around with a non-transformed Blaster. It's best to ignore "But character A fit inside character B" when translating these designs to physical objects.
Bumblebee literally drives into Wheeljack's...
Mirage probably slips under the radar since he wasn't in the Bee movie.
Like, honestly, it's the Bee's movies fault I had any expectations for this film beyond what we saw in the first five movies. It really seemed like they figured some stuff out there and now it's increasingly looking like...
I actually like the van altmode for Wheeljack; it's taking the head, ripping off his ears (his glowing ears easily being the most unique bit of non-altmode character design in all of G1 outside of maybe Soundwave's voice), and giving him a stereotyped nerd look.
Like if they had just slapped on...
My shelves are getting pretty full; I have most of the characters I want and now it's basically a case of if a character catches my eye, or if they're just so obscure I gotta go "Well, that's never happening again, onto the shelf you go."
Honestly, I'm basically just waiting for them to get to...
If they hadn't gotten things right with the Bumblebee movie, you might have a point, but, like... they actually nailed it! They know how to make them fit the movie aesthetic without rebuilding the character from scratch. They COULD have just done that again, and being disappointed they didn't...
I live in a town that doesn't get anything cool like that, but if I did, I'd totally go see the '86 movie in theaters, since I never have and the novelty of seeing it with a crowd is appealing.
I agree that I've seen that movie way too many times now and it's kind of unwatchable to me in some...
I dunno, I think it's okay to demonize stopping a film for several minutes to explain why it's 100% okay your 20-something male supporting character is dating the protagonists underage daughter. Especially in a film franchise based on a children's toyline.
Like, I feel like this is a freebie...
Eh, things are supposed to improve; we shouldn't forgive modern (well, 15 years old now) stuff for being juvenile and offensive just because it's based on something that was juvenile and offensive 20 years (two whole decades) prior.
That stuff added nothing to the film and actually detracted...
Honestly, if they WERE going to mess with the movie, I'd rather they just put out a remaster that fixes animation errors, adds Snarl into the background of a few more shots and basic stuff like that.
Animated was the next follow-up after the first LA movie, so while it may have never quite reached the same heights, I think Transformers would still be around today.
TF: Prime probably wouldn't have had a giant budget though.
