Its definitely a sad episode, and bittersweet that the one guy gets the promotion when losing his friend. I really like that episode. It teaches Troi a valuable lesson about commanding a ship and Data side adventure is a great story too. Now you might get that reference in Lower Decks now...

So I watched a few more TOS episodes. This side of Paradise, in which we get to see a colonist that had fell in love with Spock 6 years before then. So I wonder if she will show up in SNW season 3? Devil in the Dark, such a great monster episode.

TOS actually was quite progressive, especially once it gets passed the Cage and into the series proper.
