Well that's one reason I think limiting Rodimus' doubt to confidence arc to FFoD would have been ideal. The character arc is confined to a five part story clearly labelled as a five part story and when it's over Rodimus is a more confident leader who can have stand-alone adventures and not have...
I think our own @Powered Convoy confirmed that "Optimus is the Thirteenth" wasn't the plan from the start, but once they began working on the canonized roster they couldn't think of anyone else for the Thirteenth to be, so they made it Optimus with the hopes that someone else would retcon it...
And finally...
Machine Wars Autobots completed...
Machine Wars itself completed...
This is kinda surreal to me. Like I said earlier, Machine Wars exists in some weird corner of my mind. I wanted them badly as a kid, never got them, fell into the trap of thinking they...
The issue is that King Arthur's story is grounded in something not really applicable to Cybertronians. Arthur is the One True King because he's the rightful heir to Uther, who can reclaim his birthright and free the realm from usurpers.
The rank of Prime has never been hereditary, though, and...
Everything TheSupernova said. The only thing I'd add is that a wooden toothpick is great for minor adjustments once you put the sticker down, but before you press it down.
Fair warning. Just due to Steeljaw being tiny... well... this set can be very meticulous. Just go slow, be patient, and...
Enough that Hasbro felt the pressure from angry phone calls and letters.
It's often about those that make the most noise. Whether or not they're the majority is inconsequential.
Yeah. FFoD was set up perfectly for a "Rodimus doubts himself, but comes out of it sure that he's ready to do this"...
I really think TR Galvatron needed to be a latter wave release. He needed a proper helmet to go over the TM, not pop-up accouterments like the other Voyagers had.
They also seemed to be getting better with the Leader class helmets as the line went on, so maybe they could have worked in a...
Of the three JG1 shows (sorry Zone) Headmasters is easily the worst one. It just sort of drags a lot of the time. Victory starts slow but ramps up, and Masterforce is just pretty great all the way through. Headmasters very much feels like a first attempt.
It's not bad, really. I still prefer it...
You wonder what could have happened...
Say the "Rodimus doubts himself" arc was wrapped up by the end of FFoD, and he was just overall more confident going forward.
Would audiences have warmed up to him? Would Optimus not need to come back? Or was that dye cast the moment Hasbro was inundated...
My first go with one of these "bendy" action figures.
My takeaway is that I really like this Phantom of the Opera design and wish someone would make a proper action figure out of it. 'cause while this bendy figure is a neat concept, it's not really working as well as a proper figure would.
