Medicine and engineering go hand-in-hand for transformers. Wheeljack was basically the other medic for S1 and that chunk of S2 before the new toys show up. Grapple and Hoist too. Quintus is probably the most medicy as he actually creates life, followed by Solus who builds stuff.

Also, like, making an action figure and making a transforming action figure are two different things. Hasbro still has the "it has to transform" mindset for their mainline stuff, relegating the non-transforming merchandise to licensees for the most part.

There's nothing saying next year's titan size is permanent. It's a single-item sizeclass, they can make it whatever they want each year. That said, if they wanted a Primus even remotely close to the size of Haslab unicron, it'd probably be a $700+ Haslab and I doubt they're going to do that.
