Never had an official release in the west. There have been official Japanese releases but all the ones I've seen are quite expensive. -ZacWilliam, I do not believe there have been any announcements of that changing.

I figured out how to get the price down.

Not for me, because there's no way that wouldn't be $200~$250 or more and while I think this is a fun idea it's not one that I'm williams to spend that on. -ZacWilliam, it's not the idea or the toy it's the price for me and I dont see that getting any lower with a much bigger toy.

The upper part of Cosmos is about a third to tall and so looks kinda dumb, but I like the robot mode enough I'll likely bite anyway. -ZacWilliam, trying to make my self see the saucer as cute and super deformed but I havnt quite managed yet.

Thats definitely a plausible theory. if there was anything to suggest a connection to the word "solar" on those prototypes I'd upgrade it from "quite possible" to "very likely." I have to feel like they would have been called "Solar Jets" and "Solarbots" for a reason. Glow in the dark plastic...
