    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

I largely enjoyed the season finale But… Also, shout out to that “Best of Both Worlds” caliber cliffhanger.

I must have those Beast Wars Premium repaints on the brain…

IMO, it would be really cool if the Picard design opened the side inside the delta to the old TOS class symbols

I think for correct scale, Magnus and Dinobot need to switch heights.

Hasbro Q2 2023 earnings conference call

It sucks because Disney very visibly keeps Hasbro hamstrung by threatening not to renew the Marvel and Star Wars licenses so Hasbro can’t (for example) buy Dreamworks and perhaps grow into an actual IP powerhouse.

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Yeah, I was quite perplexed the Klingons were taking about “their dishonor” in regards to singing since it seems like it would be 100% up their alley. Unless they were focusing more on it being against their will?

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

A fair point. It seems the Eugenics Wars bled into a lot of stuff with truly apocalyptic overtures like the Bell Riots, WWIII, etc in a way the Spanish Inquisition (AFAIK) did not.

Amazon has Shout’s Super Sentai Zyuranger DVD set for a downright reasonable $20 (as opposed to the $55!?! MSRP) Picked myself up a copy.

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Well, expecting us to care that Ironhide died when he only spoke a total of three sentences over four movies isn’t making the robots relatable *enough* IMO.

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

I feel like the GI Joe stuff is going to wind up very much like what happened at the end of ROTB but with the whole Autobot cast.

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

The IDW Holomatter avatars are tailor made to increase robot characterization without running up the VFX budget yet remain almost wholly unused.

    Takara Missing Link G1 Series

My response was actually in reference to Sabrblade. New posts popped up before I was finished with mine.

    Takara Missing Link G1 Series

Does it though? Generations is pretty explicitly cartoon based. No one is really going to confuse that Optimus with the Legacy one. I’d be more concerned with LINE saturation as we currently have Legacy, Studio, Rise, Earthspark, store exclusive subline (Buzzworthy/Toxitron, and Reissues (if...

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Michael Bay’s five movies already “poisoned the well” for Transformers as far as audience expectation goes. They’ll look for the three V’s, vulgarity, violence, visuals. If you stray from that (like Bumblebee) EVEN IF you’re the better movie (like Bumblebee) you’re going to underperform (like...

    Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

That Guardians 3 f-bomb was perfectly used, absolutely made the scene it was in, and still managed a PG-13 as you’re allowed 1 before “R”.

    Takara Missing Link G1 Series

Pictures popped up for this Optimus. Supposedly going to be a full reveal on August 9th. VERY toyetic. I wonder if this might be the start of something akin to Mattel’s He-Man Origins line. He wouldn’t seem to fit in Legacy or Studio Series and isn’t (strictly speaking) a reissue for that...

Climate change (because it's still political for some reason)

I can’t really blame them. This is going to keep happening with *increasing* frequency if anything. How many times can you (should you) keep paying to rebuild the same house if the same damn thing destroys it every 3-5 years?

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

I mean logically stuff would have to change. There is absolutely no way 2023 NOW would be indistinguishable from a 2023 where WWII took place from 1969-1975 instead of 1939-1945. Yet that’s exactly what Paramount decrees and thus so it is.
