I saw it a few times at Tuesday Morning and passed each time.

I was finally able to wrangle an Ultra Magnus that I can fully transform, and he's pretty darn fun.

At the top of my list would be a G1 Ark playset. I do like the Kingdom Ark toy alright, but would welcome something slightly larger, that did not also need to have a robot mode. Along the lines of the original Millennium Falcon, it could have removeable (or opening) panels that would reveal...

My resolve is wearing down and I am thinking about backing this just for Fire Convoy. Only thinking about it, for now...

Yes! Although I would settle for a Leader Class version, if he was designed as G2 Megs first. This whole, "let's just paint regular, cannon-on-arm Megatron camo and call it a day" needs to stop! But yeah, I would love to see what the team could do with a true G2 Megatron at the Commander level.

I was trying to recall the other day which old 3p version had a leg transformation similar to the SS86 one (I want to say that it was maybe iGear, but I can't be bothered to check). But yeah, it's clever engineering, it just doesn't translate to a particularly pleasant-looking robot mode.

Powermaster Prime would be a really good contender. I'd add: -JG1 Overlord. HasLab would also be a good fit, but there's a lot that they could do at the Commander pricepoint. -G1 Roadbuster. Make him big, chonky, armed to the teeth, fun to transform, and poseable as hell. -G1 Onslaught...

What I wish is that Fire Convoy could have been released as a standalone, Commander-Class figure. At $90, I would take the plunge. I just don't care enough about RID Ultra Magnus, Omega Prime, or Bluebolts to drop $250 on the one figure in the set that appeals to me.

Looks pretty darn cool. I don't think that I'm sold on the set yet, as I really only like Fire Convoy. I was always pretty "meh" on Ultra Magnus, and less enamored of the combined mode. Happy for those that want this though.

Yeah, that Brawn was disappointing to me. The top half of robot mode looks good, but the lower body needed to be left in the oven a while longer. I know that his legs look that way because of transformation. However, they're ugly and choppy, and those floaty little feet just look weird.

That's cool, and I hope that the retailer doesn't need to step in. I've been in contact with consumer care, so I guess we'll see what comes of it. My desired outcome is to be recompensated for some of the $90 spent on my original Magnus. However, I am also excited to (hopefully) experience...
