  1. Transformers: Wild King -- new "Wildocking" animal limb combiner series from TakaraTomy

"So I saw Optimus wilddocking with a giraffe the other day-" "Just let the 'Wild King' know his life choices are his own business."
  2. Hasbr-uh-oh - Business and Tariffs Discussion

Expected, but still not fun. Negotiating 'lower production costs'. Wonderful. QC was a lottery as-is... https://toynewsi.com/278-56892
  3. MotU Origins X Thundercats

Having finally looked it up, I still wonder if the Thundercats Heman is actually INTENDED to be a homage to 200x version King Grayskull. It certainly could pass as a workable version for anyone who was unable to get the crowdfund Eternia exclusive one. I am glad they left the Sword of Plundarr...
  4. Dramatic Capture Series

    42! ..no...no, doesn't work...never mind.
  5. Dramatic Capture Series

That raises even MORE questions. Like how many quartrex to a quartex, how many quartex to the gallon, how many gallons per Shanix, and how many cortexes to do these conversion factors?! Geeze...how many Galactic Credits would you have to pay people to just use rational units of measure, like...
  6. He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

And re: Netflix, if someone couldn't get the Eternia crowdfund exclusive King Grayskull from Revelations, it wouldn't be hard to repurpose that Thundercats He-Man as a variation on the prior 2000s series one. It looks really close, unless I'm just misremembering.
  7. Dramatic Capture Series

I suppose the big question is, will this new set have anything on the box that helps us with unit conversion? Because it's been four decades and I'm still not sure how many Cortex to the Vorn, or Vorn to pounds sterling, or how the Canadian Dollar factors in any of this.
  8. Dramatic Capture Series

Not bad, though I had been hoping for a 'no clear parts' version simply for durability, like the 'Retro' repaints of Bumblebee and Gears coming out.
  9. He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

In my own mind, I had Scare Glow and the old Super7 Transforming He Man (glow in the dark) as ghosts of the two from a side reality where they'd mutually fought to the death. And discrepancies between their appearances and the 'live' versions is due to a mix of alternate reality and fading...
  10. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

These are quite a bit larger than expected for '5.5 in scale'. I actually WILL have to figure out shelf spacing...also, Killbison's cannon DOES have ports on top, so the Jaluga missiles will hopefully fit! I will use the constant spelling changes to justify myself calling it the Beastforce...
  11. Dramatic Capture Series

I'd considered, given the amount of clear plastic in that set, getting a spare copy of each of the three since my nephew really likes them, but I haven't done it yet. This may be a better bet, since it won't all be just the same thing all over again, it'll add some variation.
  12. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

Just so you know, all this talk of misdriven pins, combined with the sheer number of pins that have to be driven in a combiner that's full of mirror-imaged parts, is giving me, to quote Frankie Mouse from the Hitchhiker's Guide, the "screaming heebie-jeebies".
  13. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

Wasn't that around the time foil stickers made a comeback? I did a LOT of sanding/coating/hair-dryering etc for that entire stretch just to make things transform correctly as tabs wouldn't fit or the like. And Trypticon made me learn all about plastic safe lubricants.
  14. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

I am sorry I potentially brought up a subject I hadn't realized was that controversial. I was just thinking of what I paid for exclusive combiners before. But re: G1, believe it or not I've gotten my nephew a few of the Walmart reissues, because they are somewhat easier to transform than many...
  15. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

I'm sorry, I wasn't looking at EITHER of the hate/defense options, I was just evaluating the cost for my own budgeting based on what I myself have done on other past exclusives, because of the discussion as to the package value. In my own case I saw it as a rare example of a Transformers...
  16. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

*Checks list* *Nods sagely* Huh. Checks out...Ok, then! If anyone needs me I will be under my desk screaming.
  17. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

I was thinking more of how the TFSS was mostly repaints and minor remolds, though we DID get the two Pretender Shells in 5 (to be fair, they were both repaints, but a repaint of a shell used for one Con exclusive and a shell from a Japanese exclusive Fortress Maximus recolor, so I gave them more...
  18. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

Well, as I said before, TFSS 4.0 was $297, and it looks like 5.0 was $330. Assuming I have that right, Liokaiser now at seven new-mold (with some parts sharing) bots plus mini-partners is a better deal than either of them. And still nearly a month to get the last tiers in. It's STILL pricey, and...
  19. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

"LASERBEAKER! EJECT!" "No...no, the incorporation of Cybetronian technology into Muppet Labs is definitely not giving the performance boost we had hoped for..."
  20. HasLab 2025: Liokaiser

I do wonder how many actual parts are in LioKaiser's set (not figure numbers, I mean literal parts, like plastic pieces, pins, screws, etc) compared to Unicron? It has to be way above DeathSaurus or Star Saber, very likely well above Omega Prime. Even with some obvious shared moldings between...
