    Transformers Hall of Fame 2023

FWIW, my toy vote went to Metalhawk.

    Transformers Hall of Fame 2023

I gave up making these banners years ago (the Hall of Fame really just isn't what it once was), but this old one is relevant.

    Transformers Hall of Fame 2023

I did my part. I voted for Kelly.

Star Trek: The Original Series and The Next Generation

Recognizing that novels aren't canon (and, indeed, the novels in question are even less canon now than they used to be) I like the idea that Worf adopted Spot after Data's passing.

The Twit destroying Twitter is a Twaitor

I can't speak to when that specific event occurred, although I'll certainly concede there was a time in which Twitter was fine, and that said time did in fact end well before Musk took over. But even the state of Twitter just prior to Musk was so profoundly different than what it became almost...

The Twit destroying Twitter is a Twaitor

Well, ideally, without the rancor. Seriously, the Twitter-substitutes I've tried out so far are MUCH more pleasant places to be.

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Sorry if I sounded like I was being pedantic (certainly I have that tendency). In this instance, I was truly confused what the problem was, since (not remembering specifically what the show asserted) I was imagining someone traveliing from a planet circling one star within the constellation to a...

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

in theory, yes, but isn't it the case that they typically want the writers on-hand during the shoot so that they can write updates as the season goes along, and they keep everything as coherent as possible?

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

I'm confused about this assertion that Eridani is a star. Is it not a constellation?

The Twit destroying Twitter is a Twaitor

You want to argue with the dictionary (or that particular one)? Go right ahead. Dictionaries aren't infallible. I'm not going to make any further issue of it. It may well be archaic. I don't know. I spell aesthetics with an "a" in front that, truth be told, makes no sense to me, either. But...

The Twit destroying Twitter is a Twaitor

The link says "especially British", which would be consistent with Musk's heritage (as I indicated, he was born in South Africa, but some of his ancestry is British).

The Twit destroying Twitter is a Twaitor

Is it not? I mean, he's from South Africa, which does have lots of OTHER official languages, but one of them IS English....

Charles Martinet, Retires from the role of Mario.

As I said, not long term. As a one off? Well, I wouldn't bet on it, but such things HAVE been done before....

Charles Martinet, Retires from the role of Mario.

Even if they did, it wouldn't be something they could do for long. Those voice actors would demand far higher salaries.

Christian Evangelicals - not all are made equal

While I remain a believer, I really do have to agree with both clauses of this statement.

Christian Evangelicals - not all are made equal

I don't have time for this, and I'm no longer even certain that the instigator is honestly engaging the conversation rather than just saying things to get a reaction. I'm done.

Christian Evangelicals - not all are made equal

Probably not, but it's more than a little unreliable as a source....

Christian Evangelicals - not all are made equal

While I'm a HUGE fan of Zoom and other online venues, the idea that such things can totally replace the need for in-person meetings is folly. Things will change, to be sure, but there are important facets of relationship that online communications simply can't convey.

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

While this is the usual truth, Quantum Leap very much turns that idea on its head. More to the point of the rest of your post. Tropes aren't inherently bad. It's all about how they're used. But I'd be happy if they'd stop it with the season arcs, myself.

Christian Evangelicals - not all are made equal

In regard to the question of what being "saved" means, I should note that the evangelical construct (not limited to them, of course) of eternal torment in Hell (that is, for those not saved) is not necessarily what the New Testament authors believed (and the Old Testament authors definitely...
