Well, some of them. I don't see the CEOs—let alone the hosts—of CNN, MSNBC, and ABC News going in front of a crowd of people and making Nazi salutes. Yet.

He's not wrong, exactly. But all "journalism" is garbage these days. Either you're relying on mainstream media who'll kiss up to fascists in the hopes of not losing their access (and because the corpos that run them are secretly pro-fascist themselves), or you're getting your news from randos on...

    Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

I don't know if there's any point in history you can go back to and say we were a country worth trusting. Even after we fought the Nazis and won, the best anyone could bring themselves to say about us is that we "can always be counted on to do the right thing, after exhausting all other options."

    AI don't trust techbros

Let's not pretend that facial recognition software has any business existing anywhere ever, regardless of how it's used. The whole point of machines is to allow people to be lazy, and this is something people should not have the option to be lazy about.

Also, why the Super Bowl specifically? If the target is just "the rich" generally, we ought to be boycotting, like... everything. Literally every product we don't absolutely need to live. Which I'm on board with, honestly, in general, as just a protest against the capitalist system, but I'm...

What stupid thing did the GOP say or do this time? Episode 3!

The problem is that the phrase is tainted by association. It'd be like, again, trying to reclaim the swastika in parts of the world where it doesn't already have a long history as a neutral or positive symbol.

You don't need to know about it that badly. If something that drastic happens, you won't be able to avoid finding out even if you live under a literal rock.

What stupid thing did the GOP say or do this time? Episode 3!

How long does it take for a trademark to expire if you just sit on it and don't use it? This will be a short-lived victory unless the public has a very short memory. Or I guess the church could just start selling their own bootleg-but-technically-legal Proud Boys merch, pretend it still...

Didn't they explicitly define the January 6 coup as an official act? If that counts, I don't know what he can do that wouldn't.

A lot of people with expert training on how to instigate a coup just got fired by the world's most unpopular leader. What could go wrong?

Utah is also home to Mitt Romney, the most moderate Republican in Congress, and had a huge third-party protest vote in 2016 (21%, the largest of any state since '92), so it doesn't surprise me that they hate Trump.

Because people standing around holding signs and chanting slogans did such a great job of stopping Trump the first time around.

Yeah but we've never tried annexing an entire foreign nation that way. And I do remember Congress signing off on whatever we did in Iraq that was not technically a war. There was a whole to-do about presidential hopeful John Kerry being among the people who had done so.

I wonder if Carrey has ever considered going the Mark Hamill route and getting into voice acting. At a certain point he's going to be too old to play a cartoon character in live-action (or at least characters as young as Stanley Ipkiss or Dr. Robotnik), but he'll have potentially decades left in...
