Republican support for Ukraine was always, at best, highly reluctant. They've been Team Putin the whole time, but they knew the optics were bad at the outset of the invasion.

The only reason she's still running at all is because there's a chance he may be in jail before the election and she wants to be around to slide right into his spot. If that happens, she'll look pretty bad if she signals in any way that she was ever prepared to endorse him.
