I'll be in Seattle over the next few days on a family vacation.
I can do searches for stores, but are there any "can't miss" shops for Transformers, Lego, comics, or just good book stores?
On the flip side . . . are there shops that I should skip due to lousy selection or outrageous prices...
Nice. I had fun putting mine together, too.
Careful when you pick it up - mine comes apart in the middle. There's one spot near the turntable where it doesn't hold together well. It looks crazy cool on the shelf, though.
Totally forgot about the Tensegrity release, and I do have Delta Magnus . . .
My Optimus and Magnus both used the armor when I was growing up - it all depended on the "story" of the moment.
Funny - you beat me to this.
I was going to make a comment about a poseable Ultra Magnus w/ a removable cab that could be swapped out w/ Optimus, and then wrap it all up by asking "too soon?"
I just read through this entire thread again.
Iggy Drouge, Ben's page, Dave's page, pre-transformers, Phule's, the page w/ the big summaries of Japanese cartoons, the TF webring, ATT . . . It's fun to sit here and reminisce on a slow Friday.
There are good ideas, bad ideas, and fun ideas. Sometimes two of those are the same thing.
But I was up until 2 or 3 last night, so I shouldn't go looking for a Dunkin. At least not for a day or two.
I really wanted to turn BB Silverstreak/Blue Bluestreak into Alternators Smokescreen, and I bought a second one just for that purpose. It's sitting in a bin at the moment, though. I have no idea when/if that project'll ever happen.
Bwa ha ha ha . . . . I still love How I Met Your Mother, because it's so fun to watch those actors play off each other. I teach with people who hate the show, though, so it's fun to bring up that finale every so often just to watch them blow up.
Kascade and Javelin could look cool next to Axelgrease.
Hot Shot is cool, but someone posted a mock-up of that mold in Animated colors a while ago. I think I'd rather have that than the Hot Rod colors. Those are cool, don't get me wrong, I just liked the animated colors more.
Ultra Magnus...
I had Dee-Jay (sp?) from Battleforce 2000, but that was it, and he was one of the last Joe figures I bought.
I just looked those up and saw Mega-Marines, too - I had no idea GI Joe had their own over-the-top crazy design and crazy colored G2 era.
Oh my word, I've never seen that before. That was freaking hysterical! I'd read it out loud to my wife - she does like Star Trek and The Orville - but she isn't *quite as much* of a geek as I am, and the fact that I'd still be laughing so hard I'm crying would probably make me hard to understand.
Chuckles was my first GI Joe figure. (One of a very small collection that was given away on Craigslist several years ago.) I'm not picking the new one up, but it's cool to know it exists.
