Reading LastMaximal's box art thread, and a thought hit me early on...
I wish I could find that photograph there to use as a desktop wallpaper. Without the insets, without the words, without the giant art on the right of it (even as much as I love that).
Just the photo.
And it makes me...
Pre-ordered the Studio Series '86 Perceptor 3-pack from EB Games.
It has not been going particularly well. I'm just hoping I can get one at retail price (i.e. without a fifth of the price added on for shipping).
Especially as it's basically one of the only two Transformers purchases I have...
I propose "Star-Glow Scare-Scream."
It sounds kinda like a My Little Pony, but at least it sounds like a really badass space horror one.
Entirely possible those weren't his real feelings, just what he felt he had to say in order to ensure job security.
Can't imagine "Oh man, have you seen...
Aye.
As noted, they fold into the legs. More specifically, the truck bed opens up in halves, and they rotate in/out on a ball joint.
For a point of comparison, here's the original:
And the later simplified budget version:
(Yes, I have both. And Chase in both scales, plus Legacy/AotP...
I have Heatwave, of course. Not as good as Chase, and as others have said, remolding Animated Optimus would probably have been the better play, but I like him well enough.
Not without quibbles, but I'd rather have it over no Heatwave of this kind at all, if those are my choices.
Handsome Heatwave.

Cover art by Victor Campan.
Find it on The Mega Man Network...
I don't think I've seen a picture yet that has Superion's gun mounted properly -- not even from Hasbro, and they're the ones who've gone batslag insane over cartoon accuracy!
I had a hand in getting this thing together, too.
You can get a sense of some of what's going into it from this:

No commentary from me and Sipher, though. And probably no German theme song, sadly.
Nor did I, but they...
One thing really gets me on Star Optimus (not that I have him... yet, hopefully, someday), besides the stuff mentioned:
Why only one of the Micromaster trucks?
The thing is built (though reportedly not very well) for two in his legs, but he only has the one.
Might they plan release more in...
As someone who grew up with the original Rodimus Prime, I want the front to be able to work independently of the trailer. And if that means having a trucked-up version of Hot Rod's alt, then I'll take it.
Oh, so of course m'boy would be difficult to get.
Oh well.
