Go-Bots/Machine Robo and Transformers always had a bit of cross-pollination. Often both lines would have similar (though not identical) ideas, which were then executed differently for an added layer of separation. I see these as almost Machine Robo's answer to Transformers BotBots.
Like all the Star Wars live action shows, it had good moments intermixed with some otherwise questionable writing. The one thing about this episode that bothered me most was:
Did the empire not have enough people to cover both the front AND back door of the rebel stronghold? Why did anyone...
Saw several ships at Aldi today for $8.99 each. One ALMOST came home with me, but I put it back. They look like a ton of fun, but heaven knows I don't need another toy line to collect.

It's our bowling table. A chunk of old bowling lane turned into a coffee table with bowling pins for legs. My son and I vie for control of it as to whether it will be covered in Transformers or Matchbox cars.
No suggestive knot holes in this one!
You know, I had a RoboForce book when I was a kid, but I've never had any of the toys. I've seen pictures of the new versions from BBTS and they seems like pretty cool, retro-style robot figures.
