Syntax is a great name. Surprised it's never been used for a Transformer.
Also, damn you all. You're gonna force me to start looking for Robolinks on ebay. I really do not need this right now!
Yeah, while I applaud Hasbro attempting to make a multi-function part that lets every limb bot be swappable while retaining it's own accessories, the resulting feet weren't very good. I much preferred the dedicated feet that started coming with the torso bots in Power of the Primes, like...
Yeah, shipping from Amazon Japan wasn't free, but there was no tariff charges that I could see. At least not yet. Not sure if that's something that will get charged to me after arrival at customs or what, but I'll let you know.
I had the Runamuck version that I bought solely to steal the head off of. The toy in general wasn't good, but the flip out motorcycle minicon gimmick (which the Runamuck version unfortunately replaced with a gun-engine) was super fun.
I ended up ordering the full first wave off Amazon Japan, my first experience with ordering from them. Just got notification that they're on the way, so in roughly 2 weeks I should have them.
If this line stays just an extremely limited thing, I understand why they're only doing two torso molds. A little odd that they'd do Nemesis Prime and also a "Shadow" Megatron, so there will be 3 evil torsos and only one good one, but other than a Shattered Glass type Megatron, I don't know...

Continuing to like these. Since a lot of the core of each figure is re-used, I appreciate how much personality they've managed to put into all the different heads. It goes a long way in making them all seem different.
TakaraTomy Mall has posted listings with pictures for the next wave of Wildking Limbs!
The listings include:
Ignite Leo the fire-elemental lion,
Spirituan the earth-elemental Spinosaur,
Drillnohorn, the earth-elemental Rhino,

That was my thought, too. For all of the sins of the Bay-era movies (and they were many), they did occasionally stumble across an interesting idea. Devestator being not a specific combination of Constructicons, but rather a thing that could be assembled from any number of different components...
Ok, had some more time to take a look at the Robolinks now, and I absolutely love them. I was vaguely aware of the Lego-esque basic bots before, having run into them occasionally at toy shops or whatnot, but I had no idea of the full scope of the line. Seeing how the base bots and the extra...
That's one of the things that I loved about the Power Core Combiners Constructicons. It felt like a great "B-Team Devestator" with some different alt modes.
But yes, I would love to have a group of, say, a dozen Constructicons who can swap in and out of Devestator to confer different...
I've only got a second, so I'll come back to a better viewing of the robolinks later, but I wanted to take this moment to profess my love of Robert here. This is one of my favorite examples of a KO because it has everything. The blatant IP theft, hilarious misspelling, krazy kolors...
