I was aware of the Yolopark figure, but wasn't sure how official it was since it was exclusive to Botcon. Cool the character exists, she should hang out with a Decepeticon version of Beet Papil!
The logic here is sound, but I can never hear the name "Stinger" without thinking of the gold...
Another thing I kinda miss is the alternate color figures. Red Bumblebee and Yellow Cliffjumper never got separate characters, but they were intentionally released to pad out the line. It would be cool if we could get those in the Retro carded series as a nod to the original releases.
Coming back to the citybot discussion, in theory I am in favor of larger citybots that have playset compatibility with Legend/Legion/Core/Gobots scale figures. In theory.
In reality, though, I don't have the budget or space to collect citybots. But that doesn't mean I don't love a lot of the...
My first introduction to most of these characters was their respective cartoons, so if I had to pick one deco, I think I prefer cartoon. That said, there are many toy decos that I also like, so I'm glad we usually get choices.
My sets (ordered on Amazon) are showing shipped but not out for delivery yet. If they do get delivered, hopefully I can get to them quickly because we have downpours of rain all day today...
It's a tricky landscape to navigate; buy something when you see it at full retail, or wait for a sale and maybe never see it again. My rule of thumb has been "if it's a new or unusual character, buy it now. If it's the 13th iteration of a G1S1 character with slight improvements, wait and see."...
Given that it seems like Cyberworld is going to have different zones or levels or worlds, I would think Hasbro could slot Wild King into it as a subline fairly easily (assuming the figs would pass US safety tests, etc). I do also like many of the figures we've seen from Cyberworld, but would...
My Walmart has them, but I haven't bought any yet. I feel like most of the Walmarts around have them out now, but I'm not necessarily looking for them everywhere.
It's far from the best of the Heisei series, for sure, but there's something I find endearing about the inept Terminator-knockoff story. And it gave us Mecha Ghidorah. And the soundtrack is awesome!
It's always a fine line, because a Deluxe/Voyager-scaled line seems to provide more opportunity for retooling/alternate tooling and better paint apps for all those cool obscure characters and homages that we've been seeing in the modern lines. Not to mention little buddies like Cassettes...
I always liked Mecha King Ghidorah's design; the 4-inch and 6-inch Trendmasters figures were some of my favorite Godzilla foes. I'd vote for the buy...
Yeah, this is a movie I would go to a theater to see, not gonna pay just for the privilege to stream it. If they release it on physical disc, I'll bite, though.
