That is definitely a thigh swivel that isn't assembled. Guy who took these pictures definitely just had a bag of parts. I don't know how someone could look at the assembled leg and fail to make the logical leap that the other leg should probably look like that one. So my guess is the parts are...

Given my journey probably started with Fantasia's Pastoral Symphony sequence, this kinda brings things full circle for me. Neat.

There's another trivially easy fix. Prime hasn't retrieved his blaster yet. Megatron and Optimus are both reaching for weapons. Hot Rod still gets to have his screwup so he can have his subsequent growth, but it cuts the screwup in half. He gives Megatron an opportunity without screwing up...

Armada Scavenger with legs would be a fantastic toy. I don't care if it takes a Leader priced Voyager to pull it off. It's an interesting enough design to be worth it.

The problem with doing it that way is, if Hot Rod already had as much brains as he had courage his character would have had nowhere left to go before becoming Rodimus. There is still merit to that given the movie really didn't adequately show his growth anyway, but I'd rather fix the journey...
