DX9’s design was pretty good but being Mp scaled big character made him enormous and QC was horrific. The second batch mildly improved QC but came with weird smelly gunk all over the figures
Until we get a AOTP Sixshot or something this’ll do. The other options are the mediocre TR mold, the hideous MMC Sixshot, a poorly engineered stylized MP one from the company that made that one IDW Optimus, DX9’s MP version that came with gunk all over it and Fanstoys that somehow has crappier...
There’s no memorable Decepticon-only scenes with the leftover characters in MTMTE part 2 after scrolling past the Youtube upload. They may just make the filler set like you mention.
Piling voyager Soundwave on Hound would be hilarious though.
I bought this sixshot on sale for about$15 shipped. It’s around 86 commander Optimus height and on the skinny side but I dunno, it fits more with the ninja angle than being some gigantic monolith of a robot.
got the Headmaster colors. I like the dark teal more than the seafoam green
The shade of gray they used is so clean.
Kinda wish somebody would make an upscaled version of that one 3rd party Reflector’s tripod that transformed into a minigun, not that the current tripod’s bad.
A local store put preorders up for the set and curiously it's labeled "Dramatic Capture Series Decepticons Part 1." Might just be the different background but Thundercracker looks lighter in this shot.
Price isn't bad for a voyager, three deluxes and some bits. One of the reflectors is...
I don’t see them doing Unicron because regardless of the difference in quality, it’d somewhat devalue the Haslab release and hurt the chances of future projects.
If this is carrying on with the smaller Titans, AoE Grimlock sounds feasible and marketable. I’d like to say Driller but that seems more like the size of the older Titans and doesn’t transform so less likely.
Voyager swindle? I guess he has to approximate Brawl’s mass but it seems pretty big for the character and altmode. Maybe he’ll come with whichever version of the Bruticus chest that Onslaught doesn’t come with.
When customizing, I usually go with the toon as the baseline but I add on details as necessary for visual impact. Usually go with toy based detail or color layouts as I prefer there be some basis for the deviation from accuracy if that makes any sense. I sometimes just make up detailing whole...
Last photos also had the black parts with a brownish tinge so probably not the best color comparison. I like this less blue gray but I was planning to paint the leg parts gunmetal and red anyway. The biggest letdown for me is the cannon-in-a-cannon for tank mode. Without attaching the shoulder...
Yeah it’s generally the default way to self-refer for young boys to teens but when used by women shows a young, less polite, rough and tumble, usually active and sporty personality.
